I tried it for a while. From a nutrition standpoint, I think it provides everything a person needs. However, it wasn't very satisfying, so I don't know why a person doesn't eat normal foods and track the calories; unless you absolutely don't want to think about food anymore.

It has taught me to set long term goals and stick with it.

I was 405 when I started last March. 289 as of this morning. MFP has helped tremendously.

What are the books you mentioned? Looking for something along those lines. Good job on getting things in order!

I started in March and lost 75 pounds by September (now 102 pounds). I lift weights and do very little cardio. No pics because I still need to lose another 80 pounds.

I've crept on this thread for a while for motivation. Today I'll share some. Today I am down 92 pounds in roughly 7 months. MY NSV however, is that I am almost into a size 42 pants (down from 54), which is in the "normal" section in many stores instead of the big and tall section.

I started March 12th and have lost 77 pounds.

After shopping in the big and tall section for most of my life, yesterday I bought a pair of pants that were in the "normal" size section.

TDEE calculators are an estimate only (although close for most people). Your mileage may vary.

Well done! Congratulations!

Healthy Life Italian. 35 calories a slice. Sometimes I'll use Joseph's Flax Seed Pitas which are 60 calories (but weigh them as they are never the 37g serving size).

Even a small amount of weight lost improves your health...something I have heard before many times, but it manifested in me when I checked my BP and resting heart rate last night and it's drastically better than it has been in years. I still have a lot of pounds left but that was a big motivational boost for me.
