I have pretty much used all of the major running apps out the on ios over the last 6 years. The one that I have stuck with since 2015 is Nike Run Club. I mostly used it because you were able to set up running/walking challenges with friends over a certain period of time and it was fun to have some friendly competition to…

Also make sure you take proper rest days and dont overtrain! That is one of the major factors that leads to injuries in newer runners and makes them wash out. As frustrating as it is even if you feel like you want to get out there but your body isnt up to it, then take the day off! Trying to do too much too soon will end…

I have an apple watch that i use with an gym app (gymtastic) which reads my heartrate to give a good estimate on how many calories i burn in a session. Its definitely not 100% but should help.

You definitely want to keep in mind that if this is your first time trying to get abs in your life then it could take awhile. You may look funny (to yourself) because you have lost weight in other areas. Since you cant seem to post a pictue(you could try hosting it on imgur and adding it here) your body fat percentage…

If you are looking for a good app to keep track of time/distance and have guided runs Nike Run Club is one i have been using for years. Runkeeper, runtastic and Strava are cool too but idk if they have guided runs(runtastic does i think)

I think you should check this video/channel out. They explain it pretty well https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vlGZfIgc6Vk&t=284s

You can lose weight and gain muscle at the same time since they are kinda independent of each other. To lose weight you have a calorie deficit like you said, but you can also incorporate more protein into your diet while working out regularly and you should still see muscle gains.

Oh yea i can imagine the pain and marks left lmao, not looking forward to that part
-
Its also helpful to switch up the type of cardio you are doing to challenge your body in a new way. If you are used to running then jump or a bike or start jump roping, rock climbing.
-
I think ill have to get a speed rope before I really get into double unders, I can kinda do them with my current ropes but I'm not great. Ill keep practicing
-
Ahh yea I bought a similar one last week they are pretty good, honestly around $10 is where you will find a lot of the best ropes. I just got this in today, that site has some pretty good ropes and seems to be a good place to get different types of cables for different types of jump rope training…

i posted this in another thread but the first link has like 4 or 5 videos which should give you some more ideas http://www.runnersblueprint.com/jump-rope-workout-runners/ http://blog.crossrope.com/why-the-jump-rope-is-the-perfect-fat-loss-tool/ http://blog.crossrope.com/beginner-jump-rope-workout/…

Apple Watch has done great for me the past few years, known as one of the most accurate wrist heart monitor compared to similar devices. It has a good amount of workouts you can choose from plus all the workout apps integrated with it.

Here are a few links, they have videos and instructions in them especially the first one. http://www.runnersblueprint.com/jump-rope-workout-runners/ http://blog.crossrope.com/why-the-jump-rope-is-the-perfect-fat-loss-tool/ http://blog.crossrope.com/beginner-jump-rope-workout/…

Yeah you are right, definitely want to get a mat of some sort to reduce the impact on the knees and lessen the wearing out of the rope
-
It would really depend on your knee injury. I injured my knee 2 years ago by twisting my ankle while running(I love running). But I still run/jog/jump rope to this day since my knee injury wasnt bad enough to keep me from exercising on it nor did it need surgery. Your doctor would be the best one to answer this.
-
Which kind did you get?
-
Yea I get what you guys are saying for sure, I wasnt really trying to focus too much on that single fact but more so that jump roping is a great alternative to running and other forms of cardio. Especially HIIT
-
Yea if you stuck with 2lbs a week at your current rate you were a lot more likely to wash out and not stick with it. Its better to do it at a more manageable pace and not rush the weight loss
-
Ive seen articles stating 10-15 mins of HIIT jump roping can be equivalent to around 30 mins of light running/jogging. But I could be mistaken im not here to die on that hill
-
I have been getting frustrated messing up as well but then I found out that my jump rope was too short for me (I'm 6ft) getting one that is the right size helped
-
Yea it really is a great indoor workout, its definitely kind tough at times but I'm having fun with it. Let me know how it works out

I have tried Vegan, and im currently doing vegetarian, ill say it all comes down to what you want out of your meals and what you want entering your body. Ill personally probably have a more 70% vegetarian diet with meat on the side in the future. I do think you gain some nice health benefits by going vegan/veggie if you do…
