I've been doing 16: 8 IF also for 5 weeks, skipping breakfast. I love it because I can indulge in 2 meals but not exceed my calorie limit. So far I'm losing 2lbs per week with exercise 5x a week.

I've been doing 16:8 for 5 weeks. I skip breakfast. So fasting period starts from 8pm to 12noon the next day. After 2 weeks, I started tracking calories to become more effective for weight loss and add home workouts. So far I'm losing over 2lbs per week.

Yes, the recommendation is 1200. I usually consume 1000 to 1100 because it's working for me. I do home workout 5x a week 20mins. Losing 2lbs per week. I have a sedentary lifestyle. But as I reached my goal weight, I will increase my calorie intake.
