I am definitely finding building muscle and eating to plan harder now I have menopause hormones to deal with. I'd love tips from other littlies in the same situation on how you've managed. How are everyone's July plans tracking so far?

50 years old 163cm/5'3" SW: 55kg/121lbs/25.4% body fat CW: 50kg/110lbs/ ? body fat GW: 50kg/110lbs+/ <20% body fat This month I am focusing on building muscle. With more muscle my body fat and body fat % will naturally go down. I am okay with my weight going up as long as it is in the right places.

TeaBea is spot on. You are not going to lose much real weight in 5 days. Is there a reason you are fat fasting rather than just fasting or eating at a deficit?

100g vital wheat gluten, 100g self raising or all purpose flour, sweetener to taste (sugar/stevia), 1 tsp baking powder, 1 tsp vanilla extract, enough water to make the right consistency. Do not overmix. I use a spritz of spray oil on the pan as I find there is no need for butter. This recipe makes 3 good sized servings.…

I am interested in what you mean by a carnivore diet. Does that mean you only eat meat and animal products nothing else? Disclaimer: I am vegan so have zero experience with a meat based diet.

Great reply Ann!

I'm plant based and have no trouble hitting my macros including calories. I'd be interested to know what your target is.

That is unlikely unless you've changed ingredients as you will have always estimated incorrectly so right or not it's consistent. Have you been more active? Walking more or even getting more incidental exercise can make a difference. Have you changed the brand of a staple food or foods? If you wat the same 2 slices of…

I love carbs so all the carbs - bread, rice, potatoes, - and my portions were HUGE. And salt - crisps, chips, crackers - crunchy and salty is the perfect combination. I now prioritse protein over carbs. I was never under on my daily requirement of protein but I exceed it now. I design my meal plan by putting my protein…

Do you have a medical condition or are on a medication that causes weight or fluid retention? If you are, speak with you health professional. If you are not, starting tracking everything as it could be an energy in/energy out imbalance. 1.5lb per week is still a decent result.

Vegan 14 years and vego 21 years before that. I've been on MFP for a while but have recently started a more structured program to lean out. FYI I'm in Australia so my diary will include foods you may not be familiar with.

I’m tracking well with food but exercise is challenging due to long shifts and new pain from the ankle I broke in Nov ‘19. I’m waiting to see the specialist mid this month so hope to reduce the discomfort soon. How is everyone else doing?

Hello from Western Australia. I have 53 days until my 50th birthday. I’d like to lose 4kg and keep it off into 2021.

I'm small framed and while I used to be quite heavy now I am petite and within a heathy weight range. I am conscious of my weight as without being careful I gain easily and to family and friends I am the fussy one. I'm okay with that because being the fussy one is much better for me than being the fat one. I also think…
