I am glad you are getting checked out! I recommend taking biotin. It has really helped thicken my hair. You may need a multi and some biotin while you are losing weight.

It could be you are low in potassium. This is one of the symptoms. Bananas, avocados and white beans all have a lot of potassium in them. Try to see. The only reason I know about this is because a family member was experiencing the same thing and it was due to a potassium deficiency. Maybe yours is not however.
