I use a rebounder and watch tv while I do it. I have tried the instructional videos but in the end do better with my own routine. The only downside is my rebounder squeaks so the tv sound is probably a bit loud. Enjoy!

@happytree923 congratulations for stepping out of your comfort zone, asking for help and taking a risk. I love spin too and am so glad you had a good experience.

My step mom is a former bartender and makes the best drinks. I have stopped drinking at home by myself (even if it was only a glass each night) and now only drink out with others.

Please contact your therapist as soon as possible. S/he can help you immediately and understand and are prepared to help when these things happen.

I learned my hunger signals when I started to work out in the morning. I didn't have time to eat breakfast before work and many times would not be able to eat until lunch. It was helpful for me to learn the feeling in my body that was truly hunger and what wasn't.

I, too, am an emotional eater. Therapy has helped a great deal on a macro level. The more I started to unwind the many feelings and experiences (anger, sadness, happiness, excitement, etc) the easier it was for me to not emotionally eat. In the moment, I do many of the things mentioned above, go for walk, drink water, talk…

I took 2 pairs of pants to the dry cleaners and picked them up after 2 weeks. They don't fit anymore. I'm happy but a little pissed I paid to dry clean pants I can't wear. Life is good.

Yep, it's official, you are human. I can appreciate your feelings just make sure you don't unpack and stay an extended period of time. Life is too short to worry what others are doing. You are doing great and will ultimately have more freedom and choice provided you stay the course. Tired of what you are eating? Change it…

We are a similar height with the same goal but I started at 183. I'm now at 148 and did it through managing my calories. I slowly added more fruits and veggies and limited my portions on processed foods and sweet treats. It's very liberating eating the foods I like without worrying if it's "on plan" or not. Good luck.

This is awesome! I love it when I discover something new about myself that goes against "conventional wisdom".

I love it. It’s worth doing research and finding one that wont roll your feet while rebounding. Good luck and have fun.

In the past week 2 different people told me that I'm glowing and look so happy and healthy. Once I could shrug it off but by the second time I accepted the compliment. I do believe I'm glowing!!! Own those NSVs, people. We've earned every single one!!

My emotional eating didn't have a story attached to it anymore because it was such a default for me for such a long time. It was just how I dispelled the feelings I didn't want to feel. The good news is I broke the cycle with a lot of therapy. I do love this approach and believe self awareness is a discipline worth…

I'm 51, 5'2" and received 1200 cals initially as well. I dropped my weight loss per week so I could get in 1350 and then add exercise calories on top of that. This has been manageable and I currently weigh 148 with a goal of somewhere in the 120s.

Awesome!!! Congratulations.

This is wonderful. Congratulations!!! <3 <3 <3

Congratulations. I use the CICO method and like you, have stayed away from trends and eat what I want as long as it fits this time. It's working. Do what works for you and avoid restrictions you can't do in maintenance. Edit: You are absolutely glowing in your pic. It's beautiful.

Congratulations. I love my bike too!

Audio books and walking. So easy to plug in and step out the door instead of eating and my step count has really increased since I started this.

Hi Ayesha. Have you read the thread below. It's interesting and might give you a different take on the lack of motivation you feel. https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/818701/the-myth-of-motivation-and-what-you-need-instead/p22

I go through 2 - 6 week periods where the scale doesn't move but then will drop regularly. For me, it's normal. I don't panic and just make sure I'm in a deficit and know the scale will ultimately catch up.

Thanks for the feedback and info. You all are the best!!! <3

I had this happen when I had a fibroid embolization several years ago. They finally put me all the way under because I kept asking questions and watching what they were doing on the screen. I envisioned being in the same state for the colonoscopy.

Congratulations!!!

Therapy. Once I started valuing, caring and loving myself I wanted my physical body to reflect that.

Wow. Looking at page 1 and contrasting this photo is amazing. I can understand why you squirreled away money for the surgery. So glad your recovery has gone well.
