Yes you can copy the weight from the previous day. If I miss a day I use the previous day's entry, MFP uses your last recorded weight for the calculations. If you look at a previous date in the calendar (on the website) it will show you "If every day was like today if five weeks you would weight xxxlbs" using the diet for…

The screams, pain and torment of life in modern society. No, wait.... I am sorry that is something caught in the air conditioner. I am listening to Post Modern Jukebox.

I enjoy reading about all this regional food. Each place I visit I want to know what is the local favorite. I posted the names of my home town's regional foods but not pictures so.... Chicken Riggies: Chicken, rigatoni, hot or sweet peppers in a spicy cream and tomato sauce. There are also sausage, veal and beef versions.…

I like this phrase, I will use it along side my unicorn (passing gas) phrase.

If I close it with too few calories it gives me this error.

Thank you, I added a single cell to average the differences between your predicted weight and actual weight. It will show a divide by zero error until the numbers are in. The formula is:[ ="Average Difference: "&AVERAGE(H:H) &"lbs." ]

Protein bars can have a lot of saturated fat, check the label, scan the bar code. Weigh and log EVERYTHING as best as you can, I noticed a big difference after I started weighing everything on a food scale. If you use the app check the segmented circle on the top right of the screen: This will let you know where your…

When you look up a food sometimes there is an "edit" button in the upper right. If you edit or correct a food it will be listed under "my foods". If you bar code scan an item that isn't in the database, after you select "add food", enter all the nutritional information it will appear under "my foods".

I don't understand this, you are trying to make a change, you are ahead of anyone sitting on the couch. I think it is a positive thing. Getting motivated to be moving is fantastic. Don't give up and good luck. As missysippy said above, Iphones AND android phones have apps that will keep track of steps. I don't always keep…

If when you were a child someone told you "If every week was like this week, you will be five inches taller in five weeks." it would be something to think about but wouldn't happen. I know it is just an estimate used for motivation, but I like to keep track of it.... just for fun. (I am geeky like that) If anyone else…

Use butter but in moderation, no more than one stick per slice of bread.

The doctor weighs you full clothed and with a full belly. That is the doctor's official weight for you. (They don't care about your clothing, your keys or your cell phone.) I weigh myself in the morning, after I go to the bathroom and before I eat or drink. That is my official weight for me. I went to the doctor first…

I picked up one of these scales for about $11 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8ZguaKQKSEs The guy in the video has some certified accurate weights and tested the scale for accuracy, It is the Ozeri Pronto Digital Kitchen Scale and it works great.

I don't do these anymore. Mayo on saltine crackers, toasted rye/pumpernickel bread with Gulden's mustard. (okay maybe this one) Yellow mustard on potato chips, or a potato chip sand which. Italian dressing on bread Cinnamon in Breyers Vanilla ice cream. (Breyers ice cream bought out, they no longer use the original cream,…

I used to do this, I would sprinkle ground pepper on chicken wings.

Right up there with the inverted bars where people would hang upside down.

I do remember that, people would pass out.

You can create your own food with the correct information or on the desktop site look the food up in the database. (not in your diary.) *Some* of the foods have an "EDIT" button. If you edit it will be saved under "Your Foods".

I am not female, I just started with MFP, I have a lot of fluctuations. I thought it was a normal part of the process. The long term trend is down but there are bumps along the way. If you are a data geek, I made a spreadsheet comparing MFP predicted weight and your actual weight in five weeks. I know the predicted weight…

I was raised to have real butter, my mother was born on a farm and I didn't know what margarine was until I went to a friends house in Jr. high. My mother would slice a pocket into a hot dog length wise, put cheddar cheese in that pocket, wrap the hot dog in bacon and bake it until the bacon was done. That was really good.…

When I first started a few weeks into it I hovered around the same weight, up a pound, down a pound for two weeks, and then started dropping again. Don't worry, you are doing great and best of luck as you continue. Do you own any stocks? Think of it like the stock market, there are up days and down days but you have to…

I don't like having anything on-line, I use a program called Gourmet Recipe Manager.... it is free. http://thinkle.github.io/gourmet/ (Windows, Mac, and Linux) Very versatile, multiple ways to organize the dishes. It will allow you to collect, search, organize, and browse your recipes. Gourmet can also generate shopping…

Something similar that grossed me out as a child but I enjoy it now is Waldorf Salad; apples, walnuts, mini-marshmallows, orange slices and .... mayo! (we use yogurt to reduce the fat and get some protein)

That looks like something I have eaten at Irish places. They are called Ruben balls, Sauerkraut. Swiss cheese, corn beef, the dipping sauce is Thousand Island dressing and the breading is a rye based breading.

When I go to the gym in July I see people with sweat pants with a hoodie, zipped up tight the hood tied tight around their head because...'you sweat more so you burn more calories.', They know this because they weigh themselves after they workout.
