Personally I wouldn't be worried about the fat and sodium as much as just keeping the calories in check. Avoid things with breading (egg rolls and crab rangoons) and sweet sauces (General Tso, Sesame Chicken...). Look for steamed options and lots of veggies. I would go for chicken & broccoli, egg drop soup, shrimp & greens…

You look awesome! Great job!

Congrats on your 40 lb loss so far- that is great! Thanks for the confirmation. This is the reason I have always followed the "only eat back 1/2 of exercise cals" philosophy or sometimes I'll log a 30 minute workout rather than the 60 minutes I actually did and just use it that way
-
Depends on your portion but unfortunately it doesn't take much sesame chicken before you're at 800 cals. Between the breading and the sugary sauce that's typically used it adds up quick!

oh man that sounds heavenly!!

Thank you for this! I'm planning to make them for Christmas Eve

I've been taking Levothyroxine since I was 15 and diagnosed with Hashimoto's (I'm 30 now). I take it at night right before bed. Always have and always will. My levels have always been great! I didn't do this to be a rebel- but I just don't remember it ever being mentioned to me in the first place to specifically take it in…

While they're not "unhealthy", If you're shooting for lowest calorie options I would stay away from the noodles and rice options or anything that sounds like it would have a sauce. I would probably get an order of veggie spring rolls and the stir fried/wok veggies. The steamed pork & vegetable dumplings might be another…

They don't make this anymore but it was my favorite ice cream of all time. One day, it just disappeared out of the grocery stores and never returned. So So good!

Oh my -they sound amazing. Do they need to be refrigerated? (I feel like this is a dumb question but I legit might make these and need to know LOL)

You look amazing! Unfortunately sometimes people need to say those types of things to make themselves feel better about their own situation- even if they don't realize they are doing so. Congrats on all your hard work!

Are you using a food scale to measure everything? I waited months before starting to use one and wish I would have sooner! It's very eye opening! Using tablespoons, teaspoons, and cups is not an accurate way to track calories. I bought a digital one off amazon for about $15 and haven't looked back!

Yes, but I try to keep it contained to one meal instead of a whole day.

Had to google it. It's cheese so automatic Yum. Pork Skins?

Agree with the person above who mentioned portions. I really like having my dessert already portioned out for me so the ice cream bars are perfect because they are already individually wrapped. It takes away the step of having to create my own portions.
-
I eat an ice cream bar almost every single night. It's 180 calories and fits into my macros and calories for the day nicely! Have lost 35 lbs so far

Can we not talk about that while I'm eating lunch?

Yes, I have a tendency to reach for comfort foods which usually have higher calorie counts (mac & cheese, bread, potatoes, crackers...) when I have a cold for sure. I try to fill my stomach up with soup/broth first, before allowing myself some of the things that I actually want. This at least lessens the blow because…

Amazing work! Good for you! :)

Also, I hope your trainer is going by more than just the scale #. How about measurements? Sometimes you will see a decrease in inches even if the number on the scale is not going down. This has happened to me several times and then the weight will seem to "catch up" all at once later on. Just a thought!
