Welcome! You're in the right place. Just wanted to quickly add that you can grab a fabric tape measure to take your measurements. Even though you can't see scale numbers, seeing the measurement numbers go down is just as awesome. There is a place on your profile here on MFP to log those as well. :)

Great job! Congrats on your 70 lb loss!

Mya- It's All About Me. Rediscovered after many years...

Agree with this! At the rate you're going you'll be at your goal in about 3 months or so. After how far you've come, another 3 months is just a blip on the radar. Congrats on your loss- you should be very proud!

Another one for homemade brownies (specifically walnut). Chick-Fil-A waffle fries on occasion. Cheesecake- no fruit topping...maybe a caramel drizzle though.

Great job!

Take progress pics and refer back to them! This is the biggest pick-me-up for me by far! Even if you still have a ways to go, you will still be able to see your progress and be able to appreciate how far you've come.

Great head of hair!

I was pretty sure I'd be a famous singer. Only... I never wanted to sing in front of people. Wonder why that didn't work out for me? :smirk:

To determine my 2019 goals, I need to first think back on how 2018 went. The defining moment for me was in February when I turned 30. For some reason, turning 30 triggered a nagging thought that I really needed to focus on my health more. My weight was at it's highest and I was very unhappy with how I looked and felt in…

Can't answer your question but definitely following because I'm curious about this as well. When you get it, please follow up to let us know your experience as I have been considering getting one myself! Hopefully someone here will have more info on this...

For sure it would be flavored/blended coffee drinks. Gave up all Starbucks and the like when I realized I would rather eat my calories than drink them.

Woo hoo! That is so awesome! Great job for completing. It was a pleasure reading about your journey. :)

Both of these!! -half & half in coffee now instead of flavored creamer -Hidden Valley Greek Yogurt Ranch instead of the Original. 1/2 the calories per serving and the taste is nearly identical.

Grab a granola/protein bar on your way out and call it a day? Should be simple enough to eat in the car but if not just keep a box at your desk for when you get there- that way you don't even have to make your way to the breakroom. Also, for what it's worth, I take my synthroid at night like some of the posters above.

This!!

Congrats! 30 minutes is huge! I wonder if a compression sleeve for something similar might help for your knee? I know NOTHING about running but if I were running and was experiencing what you are, that would probably be something I'd try. Around here you can pick one up at just about any store for under $10. Anyway, great…

Oops- I guess the link didn't post. Gaiam - mentioned above by @Steff46 is on sale today on Zulily and have the tunics available.

Welcome! You are in the right place- you'll find a ton of great info here and hopefully lots of motivation. You've done great by taking the first step and acknowledging the areas that you know you need to work on. I'm not an expert by any means, but one piece of advice I can give is to get yourself a digital food scale.…

This! If it's 90-100 degrees I absolutely DREAD going to the gym. By the time I get there I'm already hot & sweaty, I workout and then sweat more, get in the car which has been baking in the sun and is like a literal oven. Very easy to get overheated! MUCH prefer the winter because it's so refreshing to walk outside after…

Maybe try Torrid? A lot of the girls in my workout class get their tops from there.

You are doing so great! Your dedication to keep up with the program even in the outside elements is awesome. You should be very proud of yourself

Mine does this but it's because my floor is not level

I've lost 35 lbs so far and still incorporate all of the foods I love. Someone on this site explained to me the beauty of "rolling over calories" and it was a game changer for me. Lots of people eat strict during the week and save up calories for the weekend. I personally don't do this every week, but it's especially handy…

LOL thanks for the clarification

For me it totally depends on the type of floor the Zumba/dance class will be on. I take several of these types of classes a week. One is on a gymnastics type floor so people either do barefoot or socks with grippers. The other is a very hard wooden floor with absolutely zero support and is kind of slick- so something with…

FWIW your "mediocre" body is someone else's goal body. Not trying to down play how you're feeling- just giving a little bit of perspective. Try being kinder to yourself- we are our own harshest critics!

You're welcome! Yes, I think wonton soup would be fine as well. A buffet is a great opportunity to try things you may not usually try since you can get a little of everything!
