Thanks for this. I can see similarities in my weight loss mapping and just wondered "do I just call "maintenance" now things aren't moving?" or should I keep doing what I'm doing and see what happens over a longer spell. Haven't seen much change now for weeks but I don't feel the need to change any diet even though I'm…

All of these people ^^ are right! Follow their lead and you will not go wrong. As long as it takes, it's about changing habits and staying the course. It doesn't happen overnight or even in a few weeks, it's more a life change. Trust these people, they've all been there. Go on.. you know you want to ;)

Loved that greedyferret biltong link. I'd love to try something like that. You may have just inspired me to give it a go ;)

Thumbs up! It's working! Keep it up!

Love cooking in my iron wok. Use it several times a week though I doubt it helps much with my iron intake as it's quite a few years old and very well seasoned which apparently reduces any iron give up. A new one though could boost many foods iron content. So get shopping and find your new iron skillet or wok. Every little…

Fantastic! Well done you. Such inspiration and what results.. wow! :)
-
Can't argue with that ;)

That's great! Keep going! I'm down to 26 from 32 so we're both doing good. Like you say it's more about your attention to detail than anything else and persevere, keep at it, have patience and it'll all be worth it. Well done again!
-
Well I think you should pat yourself on the back for keeping up with us youngsters :) (I just turned 60)

Ha ha! Thank you, though I think my missus will be the one fighting them :)

I gotta 2nd the red lentils! I have 'em every week in soups, curries and and stews. Best of all you can just have lentils and a stock of your choice done in 30mins. Warm and filling and good for you!

Wow! That's pretty hard on the culinary variety options. Have you explored marinating before using your skillet? I love curry and spicy foods so regularly mix up my own marinade with olive oil and lemon juice and whatever spices I feel like then use a zip lock bag to marinade my meat for an hour or so before cooking. Gives…

This ^ really. Measure everything you eat and drink! EVERYTHING! Find your BMR and use MFP to give you a deficit. Log it on here and watch your weight drop week by week, month by month. You don't even need to exercise, but it would help if you kept your muscles active during dieting. Remember you cannot reduce just one…

Had mine removed in April this year after months of 3 a.m.'s hugging the floor. When I was eventually told (doctor "forgot" to tell me for 3 months  ) I dropped high fat stuff and went for lean meats, chicken, lean turkey mince etc and that seemed to help immensely. I haven't had fries, potatoes or cakes since…

This ^ and are the feet level (all 4 touching the floor) and are any of the push on "carpet" feet missing or not seated correctly. Just trying to save you some pennies before you're forced to admit they're buggered

Looking good!

All I see here is an A-team of like minded people who have each decided to "do something" and for the most part have accomplished significant achievements in healthy living through weight loss or strength management and now just need to appreciate just what a beautiful job we did by looking at our new bodies and ultimately…

So you have a ready made weight lifting program! (the kids) You'd be surprised how much they contribute to your fitness regime! What an energy bill you must have! Just goes to show you don't need a gym for fitness. Keep at it. Do bicep curls with those little ones and all those squats!.. oh my god! Get going and keep it…

Don't be disheartened about your lost muscles and getting them back, you just need to find your strength training mojo and get going with it. Doesn't have to be at a gym but it does have to be fun and sweaty. Heck, it even becomes addictive once you get into it. Went through the same as you and lost most of my beef but it…
