Sometimes you can have them taken in if you have a good tailor. It is expensive, but not as expensive as buying new clothes. Another Idea: I had a really good (and expensive, designer) 100% wool jacket. Of course the cleaning instructions said Dry Clean. I washed in the washing machine and dried it in a dryer.
