When I was only 5 pounds overweight and perfectly healthy my doctor (who was much more over weight than I) told me I needed to lose 15 pounds. Never went back.

One article claiming that low income areas have all of these booming businesses does not discount all of Obama administrations research. Grocery stores in low income areas can’t stay open - and if they can they can’t afford to keep the shelves stocked. Food deserts exists and definitely contribute to obesity.

Honestly for young girls I can see this lead to an eating disorder so I’d say if your child is a healthy weight, eating well, and active - I’m against it. But if your child isn’t as healthy then I could see how it may be beneficial.

No! In cook county they raised alcohol tax and added a tax to any sort of sugary drink and it’s annoying but it doesn’t prevent me from buying anything.

Well first of all I think everyone pays too much for health care. That being said, i think that people who are at a higher risk for health complications should pay more for insurance. But insurers only use BMI to measure weight and that’s not the best indicator of health for many reasons.

That’s my goal too!! December 1 is my birthday and I want to get to 150 by then. In January I was 200, now I’m 176 - almost halfway there but taking it slow!
