  • Thanks for the suggestion. I'll have to check them out.
  • @KickassAmazon76 Random but I just noticed your shoes in the squat. Are those lifting shoes? They look like it but GIF's can play tricks :) If so do you like them? Do you potentially have a model name? Like I said random... Anyway keep up the good work!
  • I'm a lot like you at times, but then I stop and think about it and what I'm jealous of. Most of the time it is because someone has found their thing and it's defined as their job. When I think of that, I realize I don't necessarily need what I do to be what defines me. I think of what is more important to me like my…
  • Great Lift, Good Depth, and you made it looks easy. You’re the MVP! I do the same thing when I watch some of my favorite strength athletes squat 700 deadlift 1000 plus and doubt sets in. But you know what... they had to start somewhere and put in the work just like you are. You are Bad-*kitten*. Great Job!
  • Not a lift but a successful day getting prep done before 9pm on Sunday.
  • I appreciate people that wear their masks. I also find it crazy how different the rules can be depending where you live. The gym I go to’s official rule is when not actively working out you must have a mask on. Most members don’t even wear one in. I wear mine in and will when working out if it’s at peak busy times. I’ll…
  • @KickassAmazon76 @ExpressoLove11 @runinthesun7 Thank You☺️ It’s been a long road but it’s been worth it.
  • Got after it tonight. Sorry for angle that’s the only rack that has any space to video. Rackpulls 5X 5X365 405 for 1 and 455 for 1 (GIF) Floor press 5x5x205 (GIF) Seated OHP- 5x5x155 (GIF) Hope everyone has a good weekend.
  • Not a fan of steady state cardio. I'll lift anything heavy any day of the week, but tell me I have to go for a long walk or run I'm not interested. I love HIIT type cardio.
  • Great Arch! Love that I can see the wall on the other side under the back arch!
  • Awesome! Even with the fatigued should it still looks like a solid strong press!
  • Nutrition and training on point.
  • 5-6 times a week at the gym, but life keeps me active as well so though I don't call it a workout, I'm still up and moving. It really depends on my goals as to what I do. Legs/Lower Body twice a week, Upper Body twice a week. Day 5 and or 6 is working things I feel were lacking and or Cardio. I need to add more Cardio for…
  • Thank you and Thank you! Yep. It's about an 8" plate with 6 screws, or a 6" plate with 8 screws. I've never been able to keep those numbers straight. Doesn't hinder much just never had full range of motion after rehabbing it. The more I lift the better the ROM gets but it will still never be what it was before.
  • This is good insight and I appreciate it. I have practiced bailing in the past but really haven’t recently. Never hurts to go back to basics but I’ll definitely have to practice at higher weights than in the past. I’ll never be ATG because of a plate and screws in my right femur which limits some motion but I can get…
  • Homeostasis comes to mind. In this case the body attempting to maintain balance. I don’t honestly believe there is a Set Point per say but at some point you will gain weight and then level off because our habits and intake typically stay the same. If we change habits we can gain or lose and then our body can reset into a…
  • Was feeling it tonight. 315 for a triple and 365 for one. I know I can get lower in my squat but I psyche myself out that I’m going to get stuck at the bottom. I guess I could just move the safety bars up.
  • It looks good and strong to me. I know a lot of people that would dream of 255#. You're doing the right things! Great job!
  • I've been prepping meals for myself and wife for a couple of years now. I have a few tips I've learned over the years. Hope you find them helpful: 1) Containers- Make sure you have enough, the right size, and the right amount. I prefer Plastic for my meals, but my wife prefers glass. This works perfect for us because then…
  • Thanks! I don't know how well I do, but it's one of those things on the bucket list and I'm certainly not getting any younger. Deadlift is high risk/high reward lift. You get almost as much benefit from the rack pull and reduce the risk of injury which makes it the right thing for many. Most athletes don't deadlift because…
  • Honestly not much as far as maxes/reps/etc. I’d say about a 10# difference based on a 5x5. Max wise I would say they are even but lockout is easier on the rack pull. I’ve recently set a goal to participate in a strongman competition that is about 1.5 years out. (This years was cancelled due to COVID). I do a squat…
  • I pulled this a couple of weeks ago. Super happy with it as it definitely felt easy. Took about a year of focus and starting at only pulling 95#'s. Then I hit this 405#. I've Pulled 455 from the floor yesterday, but I wasn't sure it would go for me so I didn't record. Next time I try for it I certainly will. ** Side Note:…
  • I've had 2.5 trainers. The first I prepaid for 8 sessions (Reduced rate through my gym) so I went with all 8 sessions. I didn't really learn anything from him. I knew I wouldn't be continuing when he had me doing Standing Long Jumps and balance standing on a ball (I at the time had terrible balance/core strength so this…
  • The Crystal Light/Drink mix above is a good suggestion. If you want the carbonation you could buy Tonic Water or Club Soda and add a bit of the mix to it to hit both wants. I fully understand what you are getting at. I'm the same way with Cookies. One cookie won't hurt me, but I don't want to start because I can't just…
  • Depends on my goal. I do mainly strength/weight training. Currently I'm working on building strength so I am 4X per week at about 2 hours per session. (Longer rest periods with this program, and no supersets on main lifts). This is at maintenance calories or increased calories to maintain energy and intensity. If I'm in a…
  • Once I started doing this my routine, life, and success got so much better. It can be a pain to start but it's now a away of life. I've backed off a bit working from home so I have more time now, but I used to plan lunches and evening meals for the week, and then prep all of the vegetables, and other foods needed for the…
  • My most recent one is weird in a way. 2 weeks ago I went on a trip with my wife. We visited a river town that is very hilly and pedestrian friendly. We easily hiked the hills, steps, and more. The next day we went and hiked a state park with a lot of caves and valleys. I managed all of it with little to no issue, and the…
  • I respect this, and I'm usually more than happy to take my dog into the grass, or in some cases step off to the side and wait for the person to pass as it may be impassable on either side of the sidewalk. My dog is my responsibility, especially in public, and should not be a burden to others. I feel the reverse at times…

  • Reading through this brings back some real fond memories, especially the Pizza Hut Buffet (when Pizza Hut was good). For me though anything my grandmother made was great, but absolutely nothing could beat her fried chicken and the Chicken gravy she made from it. This gravy was so thick you could eat it like pudding if you…
  • I feel this! It's been a few years since I worked the restaurant life- Mostly kitchen management, but definitely spent my time in the FOH. And I just remember those long work days and going home after a 12-14 hour day and just wanting to rest my sore knees, legs, ankles, etc. and not wanting to do a thing other than eat,…
