  • Your body doesn’t need a cleanse, your kidneys do that (hopefully). I know people always talk about cleanses but that’s just a fad thing. And that won’t be easy on your body, just eat healthier that’s the best for your body. :-)
  • At least you stopped yourself before you gained the full 100 (or more) back. That’s a good thing! After losing 100 pounds, losing 40 should be light work. You got it :-)
  • When you sign up for MFP, it asked your activity level. Did you put lightly/moderately active? Because that would include the calories you burn from work into the calories it tells you to eat everyday
  • It’s definitely normal not to see a difference that soon. You’re eating at a really small deficit so because of that, you’ll take longer to see progress
  • I usually log everything I’m going to eat the next day ahead of time. I’m not sure why, but I think having my day planned out helps me stay on track. Also, I just started going to the gym and that seems to help keep me motivated too. I don’t really feel like eating a bunch of junk after working so hard at the gym. Also, if…

  • Are you sure he wasn’t at all demented? I work with people who have dementia and they say things like this all the time

  • Lol, definitely not pregnant
  • Yeah, I eat waaaay more fruit and vegetables than I used to, I was thinking that could be the reason but the first couple days I had a flatter stomach than I did before my diet so I’m not sure why it went the opposite direction😩 also, my constipation problem was fixed the first few days too but now it’s back. Not sure how…
  • I don’t really have any good advice but if it makes you feel better, I’m having the same problem right now. I’ve been weighing myself everyday for a few days and each day I gain weight. I’m not expecting to lose a bunch of weight in a couple days but not even .1? It’s really discouraging. But last time I lost 20 pounds I…
  • I’m from Philadelphia too! And thank you so much. You got this too
  • The breyer’s 270 calories/pint chocolate ice cream! To me it tastes no different than their regular chocolate ice cream. I was satisfied with halo top but this tastes more like ice cream to me. The only downside is since it’s so low in calories, I can finish the whole thing in two sittings and that’s pretty expensive
  • Me me me! I don’t really message much but I do like seeing other people’s thoughts/pictures/calories burned/streak/diary! It keeps me motivated
  • I’ve never really liked how I looked. I got down to my ideal weight a couple times before but always end up gaining it back because I don’t know how to eat at maintanence. I’m only good at dieting or eating terribly Nothing really happened that made me start. I’ve been meaning to get to it for a couple months, but my mom…
  • Do you want to eat low carb to limit the amount of glucose in your body or are you doing it just to lose weight? If it’s just to lose weight, it seems like extra work. You seem to have had a really good result from just counting calories, I think you should keep doing what you did to lose that weight before! :-)
  • Personally I think diet soda keeps me on my diet lol, not because I need soda that much but because whenever I want something sweet or a snack but I can’t fit it into my calories I just drink diet soda. If anything, it suppresses my appetite. Just try it out and see how you feel!
  • Frozen grapes are alright, they help when you want something sweet and for me, it’s much harder to overeat frozen grapes rather than regular grapes. Halo top/Arctic zero ice cream is around 250-300 calories for a whole pint. Of course, it doesn’t taste as good as real ice cream but it tastes good for what it is! I add…
  • I have a large, boring side salad with both lunch and dinner. It helps me feel full. I was someone who ate whatever I wanted too so I feel like I’m never going to feel as full 24/7 as I used to with my old diet, but remember that’s not necessarily a bad thing. It’ll just take a little getting used to. Drinking water helps…
  • I don’t think there’s much you can do other than muster up all the willpower you have to not give in to those cookies when you can’t fit them into your calories. If it’s just the occasional extra couple hundred calories, don’t worry about it though. As someone who used to eat fast food literally everyday (gross, I know)…
  • There’s not really a specific diet that works best for weight loss, just eat less calories. That’s it! I know people are told that sugar/carbs are bad but it doesn’t really matter what you eat as long as you stay within the calories that MFP gave you. For me, it’s easier to eat less calories when I add a lot of vegetables…
