I think it can work for some people, unfortunately, I am not one of them, lol. My mindful eating caused me to gain a lot of weight. I only found success when I started measuring my food and counting my calorie intake.

Just take it one day at a time. If you are able, start off by walking and go from there.

Lost my first 30 lbs with nothing but calorie deficit. Then I started exercising and have lost an additional 11 lbs.

I honestly can not really notice the difference by just looking in the mirror. But when I compare old pics with current ones, I can definitely see the difference. I also can see the difference in how my older clothes fit.

First of all, congratulations on your weight loss so far! Do not let someone's comments or opinions take away from all the hard work you have done. Be proud of what you have accomplished so far and keep up the good work.

After I lost the first 20 lbs, my knees and back felt significantly better.

I got my AW 4, two months ago and love it. I have not had any issues with my steps or workout data being added to MFP. You may have to go and adjust your mfp app settings on your AW.

Had to do a quick workout, since I did it during lunch hour. 25 mins - lifting and 20 mins - indoor bike

Had an appointment with my sleep doctor and when he looked at my charts, he was very concerned about my weight. After he mentioned it the third time, something clicked in me. The next week I started logging my food and tracking my calories.

Congrats on the baby! And I totally understand about the metabolism slowing down as we get older. You will knock those pounds off, no problem.
