Hmmm, looks like you could chop down a tree with your bare fists, so yes, I am feeling good about this. ;)

One hack I am using until the fitbit sync issue is fixed is to: (1) see how many steps I've walked today and then (2) search my log history to find a day with a similar number of steps. Then I (3) check what mfp said I "earned" from exercise at the bottom of my food journal and (4) mentally add that calorie amount to my…

@mom23mangos - I was thinking of your recommendations last night when I played and had a great time jamming out to Shut Up and Dance with Me. My 8-year old daughter was also busting out some great moves (not in VR, but in real life - we screenshare it on our TV), so it was a fun family fitness session. Happy Weekend!…

Hi all, I'm 39 and am committed to getting to a healthy BMI by my 40th birthday (Sept). Here are my stats: Height: 5'3" SW: 173 lbs. CW: 149.8 lbs. GW: 140 lbs. I may decide to try and notch it down to 120, but it's been a real struggle to drop the last 10 lbs. The last time I was in the 140's was before I had my two…

I just started doing Beat Saber as an addition to my cardio routine. So excited to try out some of the custom maps recommended here. Especially Du Hast! How do you all record this in your exercise log? Do you list as generic cardio?

I missed last week's weigh in, so here is two week update: My weekly update: 8/31/18: 146 9/7/18: 145.4 9/14/18: 147.6 (Last week): 9/21/18: 146 - made it back to my September starting weight. 9/28/18: 144.2 - down 1.8 lbs! So overall for this month, I lost 1.8 lbs overall. But if I include the weight loss from the gains,…

Whenever I am making my kids pb&j sandwiches, I cut off the crust, not because they are picky eaters, but so I can eat it. Then I conveniently forget to log those calories . . .

My mini goal is to stay under 145 lb. My starting weight was 172 and my current weight is 144.2! And I just did a little math that might help others stay motivated. Here goes: I took me a year and half to lose 28.2 lbs. That's about half a pound a week, with some weight gain here and there. Nutrition science says it takes…

@Katy2Survivor - I can relate to this problem. How close are you to your weight goal? I am finding that as I close in on the 5 lbs. to go mark, I am only losing about .5 lb a week if I stay on track. If you are close to goal, your body may be resisting those last few pounds / kilos.

My weekly update: 8/31/18: 146 9/7/18: 145.4 9/14/18: 147.6 Up 2.2 lbs this week after overdoing it at my birthday celebration and having an incredibly stressful week at work. Hitting "re-start" today, and keeping my eye on the prize of 1 lb. weight loss by next Friday's weigh-in. Good luck with your goals this week,…

Hi all, Jumping in a bit late, but I'm here now! I'm 5'3" and currently weigh 145.4 lbs, which puts me 5.4 lbs away from my goal weight (and a healthy BMI). I am aiming to lose 1 lb. a week, although I average .5 lbs a week. Original starting weight: 172 September starting weight: 146 I weigh in on Fridays, so here goes:…

It sounds like I am in the minority as an evening workout person. In addition to getting ready for work in the morning, I have two kids to get out the door and on the bus (ages 7 and 5, so they need lots of reminders), so evenings work better for me. I currently get in 10,000 steps per day, and do T-25 5 - 6 times a week.…

Thanks for the advice, everyone. Since my workout is home based, I decided to start and see how I feel, like many of you suggested. Once I started I did modify some of the exercises, tempo, etc, based on my energy level. The important thing is that I did feel better afterwards.

I am in week 5 of T25 Alpha - wondering how much the intensity ramps up in Beta. Using this to build up my stamina to take on Insanity.

I'm in! My goal for Sept. is 5 lbs. I am 6 lbs. away from my goal weight, and these last few lbs are being really stubborn. I am hoping these weekly check-ins will help keep me accountable and on track with my eating and exercise. SW: 172 CW: 146 GW: 140 (the high end of healthy for my height) Check in days (Friday…
