13% is my personal goal - was not intending for that to sound like a recommendation to the OP. I'm just interested in seeing what's possible with moderate effort... for science ;)

I second this. I was at 16.6 % BF and lost 5 lbs to try to get to 15%. I got to 15.5% BF but lost 4lbs of muscle out of the 5 lbs I lost. At a certain point the body will cannibalize muscle over fat especially in the 15-18% range. My plan is now to lean bulk another 8 lbs to hopefully reach 13%.

Here's the results of 10 months of recomp with little tracking. I ate my post workout meal 80% of the time and used common sense and trendweight to adjust different habits. Overall I lost 7 lbs of fat and gained 5 lbs of lean mass during this period. I reached my goal of 15% body fat and am now switching to a lean bulk…

I programmed in a deficit so that I don't have to track the weekends. I eat consistently on the weekdays so that if I eat more than normal on weekends it will balance out to maintenance. If I eat less it will be a slight deficit. As others are mentioning it's not an invitation to go nuts but if you're eating in a…

Quick update on 3 month resuslts. Probably would have done better if I scanned pre Thanksgiving but this is more accurate to life. Enjoy: Dexa Lost 4.5 lbs of fat Gained 5.1 lbs of muscle Reduced bf by 3% from 19.9 to 16.9 Total weight gain of .7 lbs I imagine due to fluids I drank in the morning Progress Photos Shoulders,…

@sijomialsijomial Thanks for noticing. While we're always looking at abs and chest to determine body fat % the truth of the matter is a lot of fat in the back and hips/gluts goes away first before that pesky stomach fat can start to disappear. @poolycod Thanks and I'm happy to help. Training I'm doing circuit training 3…

I wasn't too sure if I would clearly see a difference at first so I measured in every way I could: * Scale Weight * DEXA Scan (to be taken again at 3 months) * Body Measurements (hips, chest, biceps, thighs, neck) * Progress Photos (roughly every 2-3 weeks) * Lift Numbers (progressive overload) Then of course there's…

Hello all, We pretty much have similar maintenance calories or starting body fat %. I also started at 19% BF and am now 10 weeks into a strict recomp. Aside from going camping for 4 days and a business trip for 3 days I've pretty much hit my macros consistently over the last 2.5 months. Consider me your future self if you…

I'm generally a positive person but I'm going to take full advantage of this thread. Most of the things I hate about experimenting with my diet and watching weight etc. is how aware I am of all the bad information and terrible advice that exists out there.* I hate knowing what works specifically for me through years of…

I was a late bloomer and a hard gainer in high school and went all the way through my 20's without ever worrying about weight. I had times where I had more muscle and times where I had less but was never "overweight" or noticeably chunky. The day I turned 30, almost as if by magic my body started storing fat. 8 months…
