I shred them and sauté them with some bacon. I’m clearly in the minority but I’m not a fan of them halved and roasted.

Happy Scale is the best! I feel like I have a much better perspective on my weight fluctuations since I started using it. And weighing daily has really helped me understand how so many different things effect what number shows up on the scale.

Nope, no special recovery. I’m just going to go back to my logging and exercising. I will do a run that morning but every Thursday is a run day for me so that’s not really anything special.

1200 calories isn’t enough food. I eat 1200-1300 calories a day (plus any exercise calories) and feel perfectly satisfied and happy. My secret? Being 5’ 0”. You’re 6 inches taller than me, it’s insane that we’d eat the same amount of food.

Losing 1 kg a week is unrealistic when you have only 4 kg to lose. Your body needs less calories now that you are smaller and therefore the deficit you are creating with 1500 (1200 net) is smaller. So yes, you should assume your weight loss will slow. Aim for around .25 kg a week at this point.

I use the Nike app. It’s free. It’s announces each mile I hit and I can set a goal distance for a run and it will tell me when I’ve hit my half way point.

I don’t log on Thanksgiving. One day can’t undo months of hard work. I will watch my portion sizes and not go back for seconds, probably stick to one glass of wine but maybe I’ll decide to have two :) I don’t plan on skipping any part of the meal. I’m just going to enjoy the day focusing on good food with good company.

MFP gives me 1200 calories (I’m 5’, set to lose 1 lb a week) not including any calories I add back from exercise. I aim for somewhere between 1200-1300 unless it’s a run day and then I can add around 200ish to that number. I’m actually losing closer to 1.5 lbs a week so I could eat more (I guess more than I already do…

I’m not going to track at all on Thanksgiving. I’m just going to focus on having reasonable portion sizes and not going back for seconds. One day can’t undo weeks or months of hard work. I’m sure I will be over my calories but that’s fine, I will just get back to the plan on Friday.

I’ve lost 35 lbs and don’t notice it in the mirror yet. But I can see the difference in pictures.

I try to log everything I’ve planned to eat/think I’m going to eat in the morning or even the night before. And the app is on my phone so I just make adjustments as the day goes if I change my plans.

I typically gain 3 - 4 lbs (water weight) around ovulation. I lose about half of that a couple days before I start my period and then usually have another “woosh” weight loss at the end of my period. Everyone’s body is different. If you really want to know how your body responds to your cycle then you should weigh daily…

There's a Walk to Mordor app. It says walk but you could use it to track your runs too.
-
It's always different running on the road vs the treadmill. Just slow down a bit when you're outside, don't worry about keeping a certain pace. And you can always repeat a week of C25K if needed.

Girl, you are majorly overreacting. This is nothing to cry about. So you had an off day. It’s one day. Just get back on track with your plan and move on.

I don't plan on weighing or tracking anything on Thanksgiving. I'm going to have reasonable portion sizes, not go back for seconds, and just enjoy the day. I'm also going to bank all my exercise calories for the week for Thanksgiving to give myself a little bit more wiggle room with my calories. But I'm not too stressed…
-
I’m just banking all my exercise calories next week for Thanksgiving. I’m not going to track that day (too much of a hassle when I’m doing so much cooking) so it will be nice to have the extra calories as a cushion for however much I end up going over. There’s no reason your plan shouldn’t work. Lots of people do stuff…

My apartment complex doesn’t have a policy like yours but the buildings are numbered so stupidly that delivery people constantly get lost trying to find the apartment they are looking for. I’ve been stopped numerous times while walking my dog by lost delivery guys. So I know any time I have food delivered it’s going to 1)…

You don’t have to exercise at all to lose weight so no your heart rate doesn’t matter. If you want to burn more calories to create a bigger deficit then you could consider adding in some cardio to your workout routine.

I follow some people for inspiration but not for practical advice on dieting or working out. Any nutcase can put out whatever they want on SM so I would be hesitant to follow any IG workout program.

Rather than picking “fried egg” just add an egg. 70 calories. I’ve never bothered counting the calories in Pam.

Could be extra stress or if your period is coming up (I can’t tell if you are a woman or man) then that can make you feel more hungry. Everyone has days they go over their calories. I’ve gone over twice this week. Unless you are eating A LOT 3500 over your maintenance to gain 1 lb) the scale going up is not actual fat gain…

It’s helps to schedule in “me time” You won’t just find the time to de-stress, you have to prioritize making time for it. Whatever it may be that helps you relax, if it’s exercise or a bubble bath with a glass of wine, write it into your schedule and don’t let yourself reschedule it for something else. Your mental health…

I need my music for my runs! I have my playlist set up to play my most motivating songs at the half way point and the end of my run to help me push through.
-
Half a bagel with cream cheese and 1 scrambled egg with 1/2 a cup of egg whites with cheddar cheese mixed in. Sometimes I will make a spinach/mushroom omelette in a bit of coconut oil.

I’m so sorry for your loss. Grief is such a painful emotion. Have you sought out any therapy? It could be hugely helpful in helping you heal and in your weight loss journey.

I’m estimating about a 10-12 months to lose about 55 lbs. I’ve been working at it for 10 weeks and have lost 19 lbs but I know it’s going to slow the closer I get to my goal. I used to get discouraged by how long weight loss can take but now my thought is - I can be skinny in a year? That’s crazy! And remind myself that if…
