@meanderthin whoops I had this mental image of highly compressed fruits that would make great flavorings. I had that ALL wrong. And I was so excited. 🥹

Prelogged my day. I’m already a “Goal Getter after my first exercise of the day, with recommendations to improve. Recommended? Get more protein. It already shows 170 logged. Yep, it’s beta. 😂 There’s a large pay parking lot between the house and the Square. The HAD and I walk past it every morning on our way to the Square.…

“Friends” used to be a thing when we had the “Friends Feed”, a scrolling FB type view of what your friends were doing, comments, jokes, wins and frustrations shared. MFP discontinued the feed back in June. 😥 There are other, similar apps with a similar feed, but frankly, the one app everyone fled to, I tried was very…

Total aside, @neanderthin Never heard of a fruit oil. Taking the opposite tack as you, since it sounds like what I might need to replace sugar free pudding in my homemade ice creams to give it some viscosity or creaminess. Of what do you speak? Is it oily? Fruity? Both? Tasty? Rancid’ish?

I eat fresh or frozen cherries every day. Almost three weeks in. I feel like a plant that has revived after a good watering. I actually jumped out of bed, revved and ready, this morning. No wobbling my hips to make sure I had my balance and they’d hold me up. Yesterday I went through the pantry and gathered all the sugar…

If she does, you OWE her. That would be a true labor of love!

I love plants, but I kill them. No idea why. 🤷🏻♀️

She’s a super nice woman, probably in her mid to late 70’s. I’m almost wondering if this is a subtle dementia issue. I can’t think of anything that would be upsetting, or triggering. I’m just going to take the high road and find another spot. It’s not a crisis, just weird. TBH I think it’s kind of funny because it’s…

I’m distracted by your curved countertop. What a brilliant idea. Why isn’t that a thing? I’m 62. It’s a running joke when I see my trainer, “So, what hurts today?” because it just moves around so darn much. Aging. Not for the faint of heart. But, with weight loss and starting exercising, it’s a darned better position to be…

Had an absolutely glorious couple of yoga classes this morning. Best I’ve felt in months. Felt like I was floating through my vinyasas. Not out of breath, not rushing, they just felt sooooo relaxed and smooth. I love the days when yoga genuinely brings out the happy and the satisfaction. Foot pain there, but slowly…

Hi @audreyd1962 from another 1962’er. Welcome to MFP! I started here in late 2018 and have lost (and maintained) ten dress sizes. MFP works, if you dig in and stick with it. Why are you focusing on intermittent fasting? If you have a specific reason, naturally eat that way, or were medically advised to do it for whatever…

@Crochetluvr Looking at your list. Do you have a crystal ball? 😂 150.4 this morning. Something's happening. I am just raw under my arms from swimming. I always get bad chafing before a woosh, although it’s been several years since I’ve had one. So im trying to do that thing where you think something into existence. I can’t…

OMG @Alatariel75 😱😅 Ann that’s actually a great suggestion. I don’t know her personally but it seems so out of character for her, maybe I’ll ask around or try to chat her up. We are an older crowd. We do go through the territorial thing with the swim lanes. In the gym area, people are super considerate about sharing the…

My trainer utterly kicked my butt this morning. I’m proud of myself. I still got in the pool afterwards, did my laps, and did them all, instead of the “reduced” count I promised myself to induce me to still get in. Came home, thought I’d just lay down for five minutes, catch my breath, check emails. Nope. No rest for the…

I wouldn’t worry so much about serving sizes, as logging them accurately. This week I made Turkish Bride Soup. I made 4 servings. I had one (25%) portion for dinner. I had half of that (12.5%) for lunch yesterday and will probably do the same tomorrow. I try not to stay so wrapped up in serving sizes as I am with what…

@deepwoodslady our popular local Mexican chain included calories last time they printed menus. Look for a chicken “super burrito”. Those are pretty low in calories, either 450 or 550, if memory serves, and I always ask for no sour cream, too. Very filling and lots of protein. I e worked out the ingredients on my own, too…

PS next time we visit, I’m asking the manager at the local grocery to have the bakery make up a couple dozen extra laugenecker the morning we leave and am bringing them home to freeze. Apparently they’re a very regional thing. They reheat beautifully, and are worth a couple hundred extra calories. I can cut elsewhere.

I booked us for a spa visit in some town in Germany. Dragged the husband kicking and screaming. Now he’s all in and our daughter is fixing to move to a spa town. He can’t stop talking about going to the “thermé”. But we don’t eat at them. We usually hit a local weekly market (there’s always one somewhere nearby) and get a…

151.2 yesterday. DNW this morning. Completed week 2 of no longer eating sugar free substitutes. Bloating is down. Waistband not as tight. Feel like belly has shrunk a lot. And instead of adding sugars (Dietician: “you can afford sugar calories because of your higher goal”) I’m substituting ripe bananas, apples, and…

Me and the High Anxiety Dog’s walk this morning- this was about 7:20 am during the sunrise: Me and the Parks and Rec guys just stopped and admired it together for a while. Never seen a sunrise rainbow. And it was a double rainbow. 😱

@poodle_whisper when I look at the Etsy ads for $100 I have this sad image of some poor Asian woman sweating to churn these things out. I know the work involved. I know this and still, when I went to one of the Stans last year and made an offer on a suzani, the woman looked at me hard, and said “do you know how much work I…

@Ckm198806 Welcome to MFP! I think it’s great that you’re saying “most days”. Many new people using the app have an off day, flip out, and quit. Yay you for understanding early in that they do happen, and just carrying on. Much success to you!

And I’m still laughing about the lady with the red light belt wanting to know how to log her “600 calorie an hour loss”. Give that woman some thread and a needle.
-
I am truly laughing out loud, loudly!!!!

Don’t be encouraging a girl to misbehave now. It don’t take much. 😂

I could see my mom having fallen for this. She rented a belt-shaker machine back in the day.

Good idea @mtaratoot ! I’ll take them to the gym and see if they can give them away. The rehab folks will know who to get them to. Or even give them to the dietician to distribute! 👍🏻

@BCLadybug888 i just ordered the correct gum and a set of serrated spoons I have no idea what to do with all the xanthan. I doubt the food pantry would want it. I feel guilty throwing it all out, but thankfully I only paid like $9.99 versus the $50 of it they shipped by accident. They’ve done that before and when I try to…
