welcome to MFP @StillRockin4ever You’re still here and that’s half the battle. I didn’t have your issues, although I was plainly headed in that genetic direction. I think we make “making changes” so much bigger in our head than the actuality. We are weak and feeble creatures of habit. I love what someone wrote on another…

…..then I need to try turmeric again. I just wish it didn’t taste like dirt. 😢 I had a turmeric latte one time that was quite good, but probably had a shedload of syrup or sugar in it. No idea of the recipe. I’ve been using Naked brand powdered collagen. It’s supposed to help with joints. I don’t know about that, but I…

I’m surprised we don’t have a customizable dashboard anyway. Seems like that would be “expected” nowadays. I have a Bluetooth scale with its own app and follow my weight there. Their graphs are trends are detailed and informative (even if some of the numbers are questionable, ie fat and muscle % etc, I feel like they do at…

I found some Birds Custard Powder at World Market. Anyone got experience with this stuff? I want to try it in an ice cream. The best ice creams are egg or custard based. This is egg free, but supposedly has the taste and properties of custard, so I’m crossing my fingers.

I’ve tried to come up with good ice cream recipes that don’t use sugar free pudding. This one was a real winner. A little “tarter” than regular ice cream, since it’s primarily Greek yogurt. First spin is dry and crumbly. Add a little milk and respin and it will be like a wonderful soft serve ice cream. 70 calories per half…

Obsessed. Sweet with a spicy POW! Heaven on a ham biscuit I even tried making ice cream with it. I liked it, husband said “Nope”. 🤷🏻♀️

thank you for sharing your joy! You made my morning!

It’s cooled off here, so I’ve swapped warm weather clothes out for cool weather wardrobe. My closet is absolutely stuffed. I didn’t realize I’d gotten so many things. 🤦🏻♀️ I love and appreciate beautiful textiles, especially hand woven or embroidered, and I buy them when I travel. My NSV is I’ve developed a very unique…

well, I don’t know what I did right at the time, but that was so not the experience I had with newsfeed. While a lot weren’t in my demographic, per se, the ones that stuck around (of any age) were serious about loss and maintenance, and the photos were of the “progress” variety. I had a couple of bodybuilders who shared…

bump! This was always an interesting thread! New to me is Lidl’s raspberry/lime sparkling water. Tastes just like the Sonic soda version- back in the days when Sonic was actually worth going to.

Even a brief delve into the boards at the time should have convinced them otherwise. IMHO your best market research source is your market itself, which is best addressed via the USER boards. The only time I’ve ever been asked my opinion about MFP was a recent (email) survey that wanted to know where I’d like my advertising…

this probably belongs in “popular” opinions but…. I do not need to scroll thirty times to reach the recipe on your cooking website. Nor do I need to read about all your other wonderful recipes, or read while you cite things that have happened while you “discovered your recipe, read your lame *kitten* cooking tips, nor suffer a…

I used to clean my “friends list” out every three months. If you hadn’t logged in in at least three months, I removed you, with a few exceptions of extremely active users that suddenly stopped and I fervently hoped they’d come back. Remember NorthCascades and the gorgeous mountain photos? I’d add anyone, in hopes of…

newest favorite breakfast. Biscuits with orange/Calabrian pepper spread and prosciutto, and celery and hummus to fill in the corners. This weekend will make a batch of carrot cake protein pancakes for next week. The last batch was lovely with sorghum syrup and homemade labneh.

Ladies! I’ll have you know, my latest friend request is in a tux and looks just like the Most Interesting Man In The World. In fact, it may be his stolen photo? Oh, honey, take my money!!!!!

that’s the funniest thing I’ve seen in ages. 🏆

@drmwc I think that’s what it’s called? It has an adjustable counterweight to help you get up, and you can also do dips on it. Heck, I have made-up names for half the stuff in the gym. I spend that corner of my brain keeping up with Sanskrit names for yoga. I know them in the moment, but if you stopped me in the street and…

in case you’re wondering how effective clickbait is…overheard in the weight room yesterday: Guy #1 is there all the time, a nice fellow, but I’ve never actually seen him doing anything. Guy#1 to Guy #2 “I’ve got from 190 to 274 in the last couple years. I need to do something.” Guy #2 grunts in agreement as he does pull-up…

you mean the old Newsfeed page, where you could communicate with friends, celebrate wins, share tips. That received the axe over two years ago. Friends serve zero purpose nowadays, and yet they keep that “make friends here” thread up like it actually had a meaningful purpose. 🙄 The only friend requests you’re going to…

I know you know, but sometimes we (me!!!!!!) need to be reminded what’s normal, when every fiber of your being wants to stamp the scale into oblivion and scream “it’s not fair!!!”

iOS user here. Mine hasn’t updated. For a while, Apple Stire said I needed to update, but I purposely didn’t. Now that update flag has disappeared. I suspect they postponed the update for those of us who haven’t? The only difference I’m noticing is that the “…” copy meal function is suddenly a bit wonky. If I select copy…

awesome job! I bet your life feels completely different now!

Get some fun, colorful rain boots. Keds website has some by Rifle Paper, Amazon has some colorful inexpensive ones, Sloggers makes some comfy ones. I don’t care how old you are. Putting on colorful rain boots and blowing through puddles is a joy.

be prepared for inevitable small bounce up, but it’ll come right back down. Those wee bounces, though….🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️

What you are describing is called Body Dysmorphia. That’s when your brain sees something different than what is in the mirror. I lost 44 kilos about six years ago. Even now, I sometimes have days I feel fat and “frumpy”, and days I feel like I’m slender. I still catch myself moving sideways between tables in a restaurant,…

new tagine works a treat! 663 calories, btw.

this is a PITA but it’s a workaround if you haven’t already figured it out. If a previous dinner is lunch today, copy that dinner to dinner today. Now go in and copy dinner today to lunch today. Finally, go in and delete the duplicate dinner for today. Also, check and make sure random lines haven’t been added to other…

I think some people have already received the update. Some have not. My app was showing that I needed to update it in the Apple Store, but i was not about to do it until forced to, based on complaints from other long term, much trusted community members. Strangely, it no longer shows I need to do an update, and nothing has…

My trainer was telling me during our session this morning, everyone on staff had to do an half day emergency and water training Saturday, even the massage therapists. She explained, if the alarm goes off, it’s all hands on deck. I said it was overkill. She shrugged and said,”You just never know.” I was swimming laps…
