  • Daily post 24 Jan - was sorely tempted to skip this, since I am going to my parents' place today (Friday) and will most likely not be able to keep track for a while. Also because I had a pretty bad health day as you see below: Tracked Exercise - nope, was too cold to walk (still did about 1.5 km over the day outdoors)…

  • Your expectations are realistic, so I'd say keep at it. Hope your mother gets off your back too with it - maybe tell her next time that junk food is not allowed in your house? I've lost a large part of the weight I gained in 2018, but I'd like to go back to a normal BMI, and the last time that happened was in 2014. I…

  • Not household exactly, but my fiancé who lives in another city uses it sometimes. So we do much healthier stuff when we meet up now. Also his workout updates motivated me a bit (I didn't want him to look too good next to me :p).

  • Does anybody have their scale fluctuating in different parts of the room? I tried this today, and there was a difference of almost 2 kg :open_mouth: Weirder still, when I went back to the usual resting place, it showed me at first a higher and then a lower weight. Anyway I noted the very first weight I saw at my usual…

  • Maybe write down calories before you reach for the food? You'll see how small quantities of X food adds up a lot! You could even measure it out in a little bowl/plate and tell yourself sternly that you won't refill it (it's harder than it sounds). Also, it sometimes helps me when my boyfriend finishes junk food before I do…

  • Haha true, I use mouthwash at times too. But sometimes, I need to be more lenient with myself - on my worst days I could wait for 20 minutes after mouthwash and eat again :/ Thankfully I've not done that in a while. On a different note, any tips on how to deal with negativity from people on weight? A certain person in my…
  • I meant "drinking water right after food" in the last line, sorry!
  • Daily post 12.01.19 Tracked - yes Exercise - yep, 35 minutes' yoga Calories - just under netto Just a note on something that helped me today, both at lunch and dinner: To get past the uncontrollable urge to binge, especially when not hungry - stop after having eaten the previously planned amount of food, then go wash…

  • It's always good to read others' stories. <3 Here goes mine: Hypothyroidism. But that's not the only thing. I was still stuck in the "I'm never going to lose any weight" phase when I casually installed MFP a few months back, and decided to log everything to get an idea of how much I eat. That worked better than I expected,…
