I just started my 5th week on keto. Only thing I've noticed so far is my energy level is up. Sure hope it helps with my wrinkles though 😃

A 2 pound weight loss in a week is good! My aim is to lose 1.5 lbs a week although since starting keto I average around 3 but I'm a big believer that if you lose weight too fast it seems to come back, at least with me. I've been on Keto for a month now and still in the learning process myself. Good luck on your journey!

I stay between 20-40 grams a day.

I've got my fat set at 70%, 128 grams a day of healthy fats. It's hard for me to eat that much fat in a day so to meet my goal I'll either eat a couple tablespoons of all natural peanut butter or an avocado.

I've noticed a lot of keto recipes call for pink salt. What's the difference between regular table salt and pink salt?

If I need a quick/easy breakfast I make scrambled eggs with sliced mushrooms and cheese on top. Or sometimes I do scrambled eggs with avocado slices and salsa on top of eggs.

Today is weigh-in day...I'm up 0.8 this week. I know what happened...I'm not too bummed about it, just looking forward to starting a new week!!

Hi Sakura_Tree, welcome to the group. I'm fairly new to keto (starting my 5th week). I really like it, it's a lot easier to stick with than any of the diets I've been on in the past 😊.

Thank you all for your input. I too was under the impression that too much protein would hinder ketosis. That's what I've read when researching keto diet. Hopefully this newbie will get it all figured out!

I try not to go over on anything but for some reason I get in touble with the carbs. Looks like increasing my carbs to 10% may do the trick about going over.

For sore muscles I like to soak in a tub of hot water with about 2 cups Epsom salts dissolved in it.

I've been on keto for 3 weeks. There's good advice and recipes on dietdoctor.com There's a keto calculator where you put in your info...age, height, weight, activity level etc. it tells you how many calories and macros (fat, protein and carbs) you should have a day. I save all the keto recipes I find on my Pinterest page…

I weighed in this morning. I gained 0.2, not as bad as I thought it'd be. Last couple days was rough with the holiday but now that the 4th is over its time to get serious again!

I had mine set to same thing cause that's what was recommended for me also but seems like I was always going over on carbs. I want to be in ketosis and burn fat. Good idea with the keto sticks!

I didn't realize how many vegetables have carbs, heck 1 salad would use up half my carbs :( Hopefully changing my carbs to 10% will help.

Oh I forgot...you can dip the meat/vegetables in a beaten egg before dipping it in the crushed pork rinds, helps the pork rinds to stick to whatever your cooking. I'm new to keto too. Last week was my first week. First couple days was a little rough cause I wasn't for sure how to cook keto so I went on penterest and did a search for keto recipes.
