I agree with acpgee. I tried them last year in China and I did not find them overtly offensive in smell. I have had cheese that smelled way more. Durians tasted amazing though

Translated it says Your VO₂ max. is 46. This is excellent for women in the agegroup 50-59. You are within the top 1% of your age and gender group. And this is my today rate. Did not do anything but go for a walk, no running. And a week of being quite inactive as I had a small hospital procedure done during the week. During…

This too shall pass *hugs* We all go through phases like that when in maintenance. I have been in maintenance for 2.5 years now and struggled a while back after my summer break. I concur with keep logging, I tightened mine, was more honest and challenged myself to go without any additional snacks for 2 weeks. It is a…

Just got back fro hospital where I had an eximination The biggest problem was my heart monitor It kept bleeping as in full rest my HR sometimes goes below 40 and well that machine thought it not good. Also noted It was hard to find good vein - they are sunken in between my finger bones Nurse was saying I was so healthy all…

You know that feeling when you are looking in the mirror and you can see something is changing/has changed but it takes ages to determine what? One of the things I (and many with me) have is some flabby skin as a result of the weight loss I have had. I have some on my stomach. It is most pronounced in the plank position…

I love running and hiking outside. The weather, wind and elements really motivate me I also like my home gym where I prefer my weights training. In many ways I prefer my exercise to be private.I have to interact a lit with people and there is a limit The exercise is my me myself and I downtime that I need to reload my…

No way a choice - Depend on the position within the team, and also how would his personality affect the team as a whole. Ultimately it is the team that wins as a whole, and not an individual player.

My weekly breakfast and lunch are pretty standard when I am at my office. Makes life easier in prep and as you say less decision needed. That said if you look at my breakfast and munch over al longer period of time you'll see subtle shifts as well. So pretty standard does not mean written in stone

I travel a fair amount for work and personal. My hacks are fairly simple: Soup and Salad. The latter with dressing on the side, so I can dose it myself. I'll skip the bread with the salad and soup. I will also skip dessert opting for a cup of tea of coffee instead. As for mains I'll go grilled fish often or vegetarian.…

I walked the Hadrian's Wall in the UK and Great Glen Walk in Scotland. In both cases we met solowalkers We went through a company that took our luggage and stayed in pre-booked hotels/B&Bs selected by the company There are a number of companies that do it We used Macs Adventures

I concur that it won't help you to loose fat, but core is important for everybody. I have a similar issue when doing some core work due to a curve in my lower spine, a minor case of scoliosis> I still have it at normal BMI and in maintenance. I either bring my bum up using something under my lover back (towel or roll) or I…

I had lost weight and this happened at work as they had known me at my highest weight and even after a year I got told (too) often how impressed they were that I'd lost and maintained While it was not the reason I changed jobs and they never knew me big and it was a relief! In fact people here find it hard to believe I was…

I would have said "Thank you for your unsolicited and very unwelcome advice and could you please leave me alone?" I would have also reported it to the gym management that this person is harassing people

Well I am not sure about this statement; Glad you mentioned at the end that everybody is different. Glad this works for you but it would have been helpful that this is you personal opinion and what works for you at the start Firstly germs? Are they bacteria, viruses chemicals what? But whatever you don't sweat them out.…

EU uses both by law, that is in part due to historical reasons, and because some countries hold on to units that are not SI. Within SI all units are traceable to some base units, Joule for energy being one. Older units often have standard easy conversions. For instance deg Celcius has the same scale as Kelvin the SI unit,…

Agreed Sardelsa. It is definitely harder to build muscle when loosing weight but not impossible. I started my weight training about halfway through my weightloss journey. Still grateful that I did. I did build some muscle, but even more it helped me to feel good about a changing body. And with statistics n=1 (so totally…

I had planned the Tongariro Alpine Crossing in NZ in 2019 and we did it. My surprise was the ease I did it with I am not a good climber and the steepness and height difference of this one-day hike is quite dramatic Still my husband and I did it in a very decent 6.5 hours. The real surprise was my walk fro my husband's work…

I have mentioned before: I have lost most of my weight with just walking and calorie counting. I started with walking to and from work (5k one way) once a week and progressed to 4-5 days a week . The distance was doable and in a worst case scenario I could take a bus or train home, though that would actually take more…

My mother's GP; when she mentioned that she felt her weight was not under control and that she needed help; GP wrote out a referral to a registered and licensed dietician with a proper education. Not only that, but at the next visit for her medication the GP actually followed up with her, whether she went and what progress…

I am 51, at 50 I decided to change jobs again. Everybody told me it would be so hard and nigh on impossible because of my age. I got the first job I really wanted. I was qualified and I had all the experience and more they wanted. The upped the position a scale to make sure I would accept. I keep up with all kind of…

Start up tip: It takes a while for your Garmin and you to get used to each other! So don't get disturbed by changes on a daily basis while the Garmin is kalibrating In my experience (I am on my 4th) it takes about 4 weeks before everything is fully stable
