I allot 200 calories a day for ice cream or cookies during the evening. Just have to plan ahead!

I leave 200 calories a night for a cookie or ice cream. Also, my protein shake is tasty and sweet which also satisfies me.

WW has the basics down. Eat less, move more. It can be restrictive though! It's really nice to be able to eat the foods you like and still see progress, makes you feel totally in control of your progress. Best of luck!

I'm pretty simple. I usually add 45g of powder to water. I also add 24g of PB2 to make it extra creamy and add a bit more protein.
-
I use 1/2 and 1/2, no sugar. It's creamy and 2tbsps is only 40 cals.

I plan. Most evenings, I usually write down what I am going to eat the next day. For example, I typically eat oatmeal, blueberries, light brown sugar and a banana for a snack. So in the evening I'd write down 45g of oats, 35g of blueberries, etc. Then when the time comes to eat, I already have allotted my calories and…

Man, if you’re 37% I must be 50%!

The term “healthy” is similar to term “clean eating”. Means different things to different people. When you go to your doctor they don’t take your weight and say, “Ah ha yes! You are healthy!” You have to do many tests to get a holistic view of someone’s overall health. And then there’s the whole genetic thing.

This. I’d also suggest eating .8 - 1g of protein per lean body mass to maintain as much muscle as you can while losing (.5lbs a week) and doing your new structured program.
-
I use a plant based protein powder since whey upsets my stomach thus upsetting my husband too. o:) It’s a great way to increase protein without the calories. I just can’t get all of the protein I need by eating food, plus the shake I make is tasty and I look forward to them.

Oops edited because you want something over the ear. Never mind. :#

2 pounds in 17 days is great progress. I wouldn’t change a thing! Keep it up. Maybe your expectations were to lose faster but keep in mind it isn’t a linear process. Some days the scale will say you gained weight but if you know you’ve measured accurately, than you have to trust the process. I use a weight trend app on…

I don’t eat breaky but I will eat a large lunch with breakfast foods: scrambled eggs with black beans and oatmeal with pb2 and a banana.

The doctors who did the study even said that it didn’t prove causation.

Same! I also feel no shame at the grocery store when checking out with a gallon of ice cream or a candy bar.

I endorse this thread.

My dad’s immune system is very weak. He wore a mask on the airplane here in the US. He said it was great, no one sat next to him and no one bothered him at all. He recommends it!

Those are high calorie condiments. I also say using a food scale is the best. Put the jar of PB on the scale, tare it and scoop out the amount you want. Lick the spoon too!

That’s the basis of every diet really. Eating whatever will make you consistently stay in a calorie deficit. You soon learn what keeps you fuller longer or what isn’t worth the calories.

...but how liberating is it to know that it IS just calories in and calories out? That means you can be like your roommate, eat the pizza and also be skinny. I am not promoting for you to just eat junk food by the way but there’s no reason why you can’t enjoy food and also lose/maintain weight.

I’ve read that the actual HR is pretty reliable, just not the energy expenditure. https://med.stanford.edu/news/all-news/2017/05/fitness-trackers-accurately-measure-heart-rate-but-not-calories-burned.html

This isn’t the Biggest Loser. Keep up the good rate of loss.
-
Have you started to exercise recently?
-
Eating fat does not make you fat.
-
Yea it seems high and your data supports that your rate of loss isn’t what you’re especting. I don’t use a Fitbit but I generally will calculate my calories burned by walking (using sedentary because I work from home and it’s just easier for me to calculate all of my steps as exercise) using the following: .33 x my weight…

I think your calculation isn’t considering the amount of just life happening that we experience on a day to day basis that affects weight: stress, salty meals, exercise. Sure you could probably calculate this if you eat and drink the same exact thing every day, at the same time and keep the same amount of stress and…

I’ve had no issues with them and they help me reach my goals.

I think it depends. Are they depressed? Or are they addicted to food? You just leave them alone? We don’t do this when our loved ones are addicted to drugs or are suffering a mental illness.

I love all of the GMOs.

The best thing for someone is to consistently be in a calorie deficit until they reach their desire weight. 2 Oreos with 2 cups of raspberries is better than the person who eats 4 cups of raspberries every day until one day they flip out and binge on the entire package of Oreos because they were beat over the head that…
