I love rowing, but my bottom gets sore after 30 mins sitting on it. I do cardio for an hour now, so treadmill works great for me. I know somebody who row consistently and her arms are badass.

Don't forget to stretch really well before and after exercise. Warm up and cool down also helps with that. Sore muscle sucks.
