pacsnc6 Thursday weigh in week 1 pw 161.3 cw 161.1

I'm Patsy and have been with this team for 2+ years. My highest weight was 179 about four years ago. I decided that was way too high for my 5'2" body although I was not really feeling fat, just didn't like wearing larger clothes. I got down to 158 last year and just a week before the Covid shutdown was diagnosed with liver…

pacsnc6 week 4 pw: 157.8 cw: 161.3 I wasn't expecting that big of a change! I did eat more than usual the last couple days and riding for 3 hours in a car didn't help with getting in steps either. But the trip was worth it, fun to be out again. Today I get another Keytruda infusion - that only takes about an hour and is…

Went to Mt. Airy NC yesterday just to get away for a day. Saw the "Whittling Wall" and took a short walk on the "Greenway" a nice trail that follows the river around the town. Today we stopped at Pilot Mountain State Park on the way home but the sky was very hazy so the views were not great. I enjoyed walking in the park…

pacsnc6 Thursday weigh in week 3 PW 157.8 cw: 157.8 I'll take the maintain Saw my PCP for a six month check up this week. Still doing great - blood levels are all normal, she was pleased with my weight and BP, thrilled with the results of my treatments and encouraging me to keep up the good work. I was not worried though.…

Today I got results of the latest scan - another ~50% drop in tumor size! Now about the size of a walnut. I am getting there - so close - yet so far. Next scan in three months because they space them out too far. I am feeling much better as far as the arthritis pains and the accompanying depression - but the hunger?! I…

pacsnc6 Thursday weigh in week 2 pw: 156.9 cw: 157.8 My weight has been fluctuating again partly due to the prednisone hungries
-
I am on day three of Prednisone taper - 5 weeks long - and it has already increased my appetite a little. I overate the last two days by 100 calories or two. But I am feeling so much better already - no pain when I got up this morning! My weight was actually down half a pound yesterday too. I see the oncologist next week…

Hi my name is Patsy, 68 years old, married 50+ years to my high school sweetheart, 2 grown kids and 2 grandkids - teenagers. I was always skinny as a child, weighed in at 120 when I was full term pregnant with my babies. After the first I lost all that I gained, kept 5 after the second. I started gaining weight in my late…

@ljdanny I always felt that chasing a baby around was plenty of exercise. Carrying them around is better than lifting weights -- much more fun anyway

I gave in and baked the brownies the other day - so far eating only one piece a day. We had to return a rental tool to the store this morning and stopped for donuts on the way home. I bought two for me will save one for tomorrow. @lennoncpa I ate nuts by the cup when I was working - we bought the very large 3 lb cans of…

I have been keeping up with the online exercise classes with sliver sneakers, at least twice a week. It's more exercise than I've really done in years, feels good after. Will be doing one this afternoon. I'm happy with my weight this week, was down to 158.1 earlier in the week but slacked off on paying attention to my…

@kandi3570 congrats on quitting smoking. I have heard that sometimes causes people to eat more but even that is healthier than smoking. Good luck with managing your "hunger"
-
So of course yesterday I fell and hurt myself. On the way back to my car after getting the vaccine I tripped - dragged my foot - and down I went. Now I hurt a lot more but I think it's mainly tight muscles in the back and hips. It will get better!

Way to go @tryingagain5 , keep up the good work! @minstrelofsarcasm Yes it pays to try on those old clothes that used to not fit. I was surprised when I did that a while back and the jeans were actually loose. Had the second Covid shot this morning. So far feeling good. On the way to the parking lot I was dragging my feet…

Had another Keytruda treatment today. Since the pain in my joints has worsened on the higher dose, we decided to drop back to the lower 200 mg dose starting today. I will need to return every three weeks again for treatments, but if it doesn't cause as much pain, I'm all for it. The next scan will be in April and I'm…

@tryingagain5 Did you mean to say you lost almost a pound? That's what your numbers say. Congrats on that. I find that if I overeat a day or two before my weigh in day, I drop a little so maybe the key is to throw your body a curve ball so it doesn't know what's coming next?
-
I have been keeping up with my plan to do Silver Sneakers videos at least twice a week. It has been mostly slow moving like yoga and balance exercises so far. My apple watch gives me credit for a minute or two each time.

@debbiewsharpe We have been in Durham for 8 years, 7 in the house we built after we retired. @sleepymom5 Yes we were lucky to not lose power yesterday, it was very cold for me again today I wish the sun would come out to stay longer than a few minutes. I was warm yesterday because I stayed in my flannel pjs all day.

Almost forgot I weigh in today. Stayed the same as last week Pacsnc6 159.8

That should say we dodged the snow
-
Defrosted the snow again but freezing rain is no better. When I looked out around 7 am the very good of the line trees were iced Now at 10:45 the ice is about halfway down the trees. No ice on the ground yet. Temps should stay in the low 30s today and get warmer by Sunday so it shouldn't last long. Everybody stay safe I…
