Unfortunately this will have been my first "up" month in a year. I can thank my vacation for that at the start of October. What I can say is that I am in smaller jeans, and I feel more fit than last month, so go figure... I have been very active this month. It is very possible that I may have gained some more definition…

Well Disney Cruises are NOT good for the waist line.....was very active, but gained probably 6 lbs in 8-9 days (and I was careful most of the time..but of course I wasn’t prepping the food). Hopefully a neutral October will occur, I need to drop 3 more lbs this month to zero out. I’m feeling good, strong, slowly moving…

Probably a result of week before, or more activities. Or.....your getting used to smaller and huge might be relatively smaller now ;)

Make a list of what is hijacking you (people, places, circumstances) and create a plan to avoid. For example, I've opted out of work pot-lucks, and sandwich working lunches (which usually means chips and cookies too). I have also reduced the time I spend with a good friend, because I always overeat around her - when we do…

Start with my numbers each day, then if I know I'm going to go out, eat less in the first part of the day - if someone wants to go do something impromptu, I will say - oh I've only got 300 cals left for the day - if they are hungry for a lot, count me out.

In the am, I eat whole cottage cheese and berries when possible. Fruit is not absorbed the same, those with fiber tend to be better for sugar stability (in my personal experience). I was pre-diabetic for probably 12 years, and had just ticked over by a measure to diabetic. I found I was actually eating too much of…

Look for an aquatic center. I water jog 4 days a week. If you can water walk an hour each day in the pool and cut your cals to 50 percent of where you are, you will feel better. Get a life/wellness coach if you can. Stop drinking any liquid cals. A lot of soda is responsible for high cals. You will have to relearn how to…

Ok girl....we are NOT done!! Prepare yourself for another year with me ;p. I recommend you regroup and lay out the goals tweak them. Think of how great we will both be with another 30 lbs down. WE CAN do it! Time to maybe start some different exercise that is fun. Knowing Canada’s weather, maybe you need vitamin D or light…

I think at my largest I didn’t realize how big I was, now I’m aware of it. Now 40+ pounds down I’m only 1/2 way there and because I’ve lost weight differently I feel chubbier in the front, I feel fatter. I am probably between a 14 to 16 (belly culprit holding me from a 12- 14). How did I get so big.? I did metabolism…

Most recent NSV not being recognized by a client I had not seen in 6 months, due to weight loss - they didn’t recognize me at the door, even though they were expecting me. Also, I’ve worn out and lost several swimsuit sizes from size 20/22 in December 2018 to size 12 (although it does have a little stretch) today!!

Unfortunately when I eat more in the am, I crave all day. 250 cals max for breakfast for me

Hi Melissa, MFP is a great place to start - you don't need surgery, but commitment to lose. We have a group that restarts each month - only requirement is that our starting weight was over 200. This month is called: Women 200lb+, Let's Soar This September!!! Search for that in the discussion groups, and your stats and your…

Welcome....you can do it. have you set some weekly goals

64 oz may not be enough.....with increased exercise. My plateau was also with careful tracking.

If the meals are for you and not him (meaning your weight loss), then make them for you, and tell him this week is FFY Fend For Yourself. Give him a loaf of bread PPJ/Jam. If I had someone who meal prepped for me, I'd let her/him. He may not be that interested in your journey (which has gone on 2 years) or what he eats. he…

I had an 6-8 weekplateau eating 1100-1200 cals a day. I do aim for 1100 cals a day, occasionally 1000, ocassionally 1400. I gain weight earring over 1500 as I have a slow metabolism. My weight loss is prob .5-.75 a week now that I have lost 17% of my weight and am now at 195 +/- 1. it was more rapid the first 4-5 months…

Recommend berries for 1 of your fruit options as some fruit is really high in sugar. I find myself eating a whole cucumber at 40 cals as a good snack option (at least during the week). My M-F is typically better controlled.

I had to visit a home I hadn’t been to in about seven months. They told me they didnt recognize me at the door because of my weight loss. I guess losing 17% of my body weight lbs does that...:)
-
you and I started about the same time....slow and steady we are getting there!! I’m over 40 lbs too.
-
My bet is you have "slowed" down - something changed (less what....that's for you to answer). OR something is hidden in your cals. Doesn't take much for a swing. For example, I'm teaching two classes, so sitting longer to grade on Sunday's....it has been harder. Usually just doing 1 in addition to work.

Hoping for a good week this week. made good progress, but then a stressor shot up my weight last Monday....going back down but hoping it was a temp surge only. At this point not showing any September loss. Trying not to stress. Did a lot of exercise today, planning to increase activity this week if possible. I really want…

I get it. The patron made a statement, and although we may not know exactly what the woman was thinking or feeling, the observer could sense it @cushman5279 - I don't think the intent was to Shame, but to Share with the group (us) her feelings about the situation. It made @cushman5279 feel bad. I felt bad for this woman…

Well - as long as you just had a brownie - call it lunch and move on, I'm sure it fit within a lunch calorie range. There are some things that are not "worth" eating. Store bought cookies in plastic container, not so good. Home made brownie good. The question for me is "is the taste worth the trade off". If I'm going to…

SW 242 June 2018 MFP SW 236 Nov 2018 CW 197 By 27 September GW 192 I'm going on vacation at the end of SEP, so need to get a handle on this before going, and not gain weight at the end of Sept through first week of October. Log, stick to the cals, keep up the fitness....

I have a pair I keep trying on, and hoping for the same....no joy yet :) Good for you!!

Good for you!! My metabolism is quite slow as well. My maintenance rate will likely be 1300-1400 calories per day once I get down another 40 lbs. I had no idea how little my body actually needed to maintain...
