Watching tv seeing hot women (LE agent types), and I used to be like that. I want to be great looking again. I haven’t had a major upgrade/promotion in 8 years, I’ve been overweight for 8 years.....despite doing great work. That and the clothing size, and difficulty picking things up.

I started measuring pasta, and was also shocked. Basically 400 cals got me a small bowl with 1/4 cup sauce. Of course loaded with low cal capers and pepper. My old spaghetti nights were prob 2k cals.....before garlic bread. Can I find a time machine please.

Wow, noted. Wouldn’t have guessed that.

Well I did make it thru the threads, I recently donated the doc martins I wore occasionally for 20 years, couldn’t let go of my combat boots. New York super fudge chunk, ben and jerries is my criptonite but due to lactose intolerance can eat only about a mini child scope. How dare you post those goodies and cakes, I think…

This is a good example. I switched my bread from 80 cal per slice to 60&fiberenriched assuming the manufacturer isn’t lying. Pb is a rare treat, I stick w/10 cal Splenda shuckers. That being said, it does look like 2x the pb in the pic....If you look at it, Or made it and didn’t measure the 2 tsps per 190 cals.

Fantastic, how long have you been using/tracking mfp

Take a weekend road trip to a thrift store. I used to ship clothes home when I was on travel. Just an idea anyway.

Sounds like you have a lot going on at once. Your body hasn’t adjusted yet. It’s going to take awhile, recommend looking at your food items and identifying other options to fill you up. What you were eating before for breast feeding prob way different needs. Add brown rice, bock choy, sprouts, double fiber nature bread (50…

I’m thinking about using 26 dec to 1 Jan as a fitness week. I’m not working out right now.

Sugar free jello prepackaged. Anything sweetened with Splenda like smuckers sugar free jam. Also natural blackberries strawberries add Splenda and lime zest.

Looking at this reminded me today, in my chick fila splurge that I didn’t add the sauce to my diary....special sauce is 140 calories per small packet - didn’t see that coming.......wahh

Wow we all have food crack. Mine is black Australian licorice....180 cals for 3 tiny pieces. An individual would gain a pound eating one pack. I must confess I did this (over 3 days) and a bag of dill chips... right before I started logging over 30 days ago.

Do it! ~ When I say I’m going to do something, I have a couple of friends that say this.....and it holds me accountable and motivates me, from memory.
-
Ooh naan. I’m going to have to look that up.....

. Note....It depends on if something is by weight vice volume. If it is by weight a scale of course is best. I think it is worth the caution, but don’t discount good measuring cups, and pay attention to the line for fill which may not be even with the top, and level the tea spoon or tablespoon. Also don’t “pack it down”.

Hot, fresh from the oil British sea-side ring do-nuts though... I usually ask them to hold most of the added sugar though - that can get a bit much
These look fantastic but they do look high calorie wise. Were they even higher than you thought?

I’m really interested in my initial query. What foods surprised you. X

Yes. Enter your figures as sedentary, and track. But you have to manage cals.
-
I mark as sedentary, because I'm not doing much with exercise. First I am doing a caloric reduction, and then I will ultimately add the exercise back but only some light swimming at first. I'm not planning on doing much gym work until March. I have had over 1 month of calorie reduction thus - averaging about 9000 a week,…

I think I have you all added so far. Expect comms from me :)

Good mindfulness!

I'm not the longest maintainer here, by far, but am closing in on 2 years straight logged and am maintaining at the top of normal BMI currently. Just the sticky vanity pounds to go. This process is too long to give up everything you love.
~ good on the maintenance. I'm willing to forgo some items for sure - even…

I don’t agree with “there are no bad foods” some calories are so high they shouldn’t be eaten, especially for overweight people - like me trying to reduce 40+ in my phase 1. During this phase Licorice (180 cals per 3 pieces is completely off) plus now the dip I identified. In an ideal state sure we can control everything…

Figured out how to add you, hope you are still making a run of it.

Pull out the measuring cups. 1/4 cup of something can be smaller than you think. You need to pay attention to actual calories of your products, several items can vary. large orange vs cutie orange, dry measures vs wet cooked, added sauce, dressing, oils can be very hidden.

You looked lovely in purple too, in love, and radiant. We can be loved at different sizes. Losing weight is a great benefit to our health but your marriage day was special to you and your spouse. You had a beautiful glow in that picture, don’t hate it. Part of a step in your journey. Good luck.

Your activity level may have stopped it a long time ago, and the pill made it falsely happen. I know someone who was early medipausal and didn’t know it because the hormones gave her false light periods. Check for pregnancy, also. Get a blood panel and check for deficits. Good luck.

"Why is 200 calories a fifth of your allotment? A thousand calories per day is not an appropriate goal for 99% of adults." To answer that - I'm doing 1200 a day, I have a sedentary lifestyle due to work and physical limitations. The dip and 5 crackers was about 230-240. I did not know that when I ate, it or I would have…

Grapefruit, wheat toast, with sugar free jam, small yogurt.

Congratulations on your progress!! Keep up the great work.
