Well I posted a status on my phone, but I don't think it took - I'm on my PC now. Bottom line, I had surgery this past Friday, and my body is not back to normal. I had water gain and recovery/trauma healing gain I guess. The anesthesiologist said my metabolism would slow, but there is no way in 5 days I gained 6-10 lbs, so…

Welcome Lisa - the journey will be long, but sooo worth it.

Rings are pretty cheap to get resized, maybe 30-$50 depending on where you live.

I also recommend doing 23andMe if you haven't for the health information - I found that it told me things to avoid, as well as where I should be genetically for my weight. Turns out I should weigh less than average, and I need to eat less red meat, but I am prone to be athletic. I participated in a study with them last…

I think I was just caught off guard, because of the "proximity" in my personal space. I wasn't outside in the open. It felt invasive. Your answer is probably a better one.

My weight compounded my issues. I've lost over 30 lbs, and need another 60 lbs but I sleep better and my hips don't hurt at night. Now if I could only fix my tailbone pain :(

So my windows are rolled up, and a tween, maybe 12 says to me (comes right up to the glass) and says I look too 1990s. I have a headset with mouth piece. (Partly because I find it hard to hear). I rolled down the window and said, "you don't know if someone has a hearing imparement". His mom, who apparently was one car over…

Went to a reception, wore a party dress I had not worn in years. When they did group photos, they pulled me from the back to be in the front. Got lots of compliments.

Keep going, you can do this.

bummer - maybe get a different trainer for you for right now.

((Hug)) It’s a loss, but also a course change where hopefully adventure awaits. Take it a day at a time. It’s ok to grieve, be neutral and pause.

I do water jogging right now about 3 times a week for 45 minutes to an hour (I was born a water baby). I believe they have that yoga where I swim, but weird time slots. I have added about 15 minutes easy walking 2.6 mph a couple of times a week - I know this probably doesn't seem like much, but for me it is :/

Turns out they did my A1c, but it was so low I didn't recognize it as that test, haha. 5.6 - all normal.

Last week Check in: SW: 236 CW: Wozers yes 205 (I can almost see wonderland from here) GW: 189 (phase 1) I did reconnect with a wellness coach. I increased my swim time to 3to5 times a week water jogging, the home aerobics was a nice idea, but didn't work out too well. My A1C is now in the NORMAL range after losing 31…

Are these family or friends - if friends, get some new ones. If family, limit the ones you don't 'have' to be around, just opt them out. Just decline, don't go - step out. That being said if it is an event you want to go to. Take the cake, eat a bite, have cup of coffee and tidy up - don't eat the rest of it. Sometimes…

So here's my update - I've lost 30 lbs since Mid Nov and just had my fasting retested, it came in at a 97 which is in the normal range (it was 127 in Early December). They didn't do the full A1c test this go around. I'm pleased that the weight loss is improving my health. My bad cholesterol is still high, but the number…

l Yes, TOM started Feb 7; hasn’t stopped. They keep giving me diff hormones but it won’t stop :( I’ve lost almost 30 lbs since November sooo my wires are clearly messed up. I go in weekly for lab work, fortunately only my iron was initially low but is up now. Just exhausted by dealing with it.

Do you know what your fasting score was, and what your A1c levels are?: "For people without diabetes, the normal range for the hemoglobin A1c level is between 4% and 5.6%. Hemoglobin A1c levels between 5.7% and 6.4% mean you have a higher chance of getting diabetes. Levels of 6.5% or higher mean you have diabetes." I was…

When I realized I was over 100 lbs more than my high school weight. I’m the same height....I was reading that’s morbid obesity. In 2013 I lost 20 lbs working with a trainer, then life got busy and I gained about 10lbs a year for 4 years, and it has to stop. Since nov I’m down almost 30 lbs, I plan 50 more. This is a year…

I’m not one for praying, I am one for creating a plan of action, doctor, coach, accountability, logging, really taking a hard look at what you need to do, and why. Getting rid of the cookies is a good start, are you emotionally eating them at work - how can you change the work dynamic, what’s the alternative. I know at my…

There are many types of birth control. The pill failed for me, epic fail. Norplant (the arm implant - they have a diff brand now worked great in my 20s). After 35 I just tracked and withdrawl BUT most men don’t have that level of control, mine just did. I’m allergic to latex and copper so that limited me.

Maybe you haven’t been moving enough. If you live a sedentary life/desk job like me....it’s a constant struggle. Maybe there are some other issues at play. Are you hydrated and well rested? Stress can play a factor. I’ve stalled a bit myself and am going to move more this week and sleep longer....Hulu habit not so good :/…

I’ve been watching the show my 600 lb life (not saying you are anywhere near that) and although you are tall, maybe you think you need more than you do. What’s your ideal weight 230 max maybe. So more lean protein and lower sugar. Carbs in moderation. Lots of veggies, sautéed fish, turkey, lean beef, shrimp. Steamed or…
