I honestly still struggle with this some days I'm pretty good and do eat my calories back and other times not so great. I'm maintaining atm. I think it's getting your head around that they put the deficit there already so those calories plus exercise are what you need to( well ideally should) take in. Best of luck

This is def for life I love being active and eating well. I'm only 8 months into maintainence and I eat within my caloroes and enjoy slightly less wholesome fooda. I know what you mean by the lack of control over certain foods. For me its cereal bars and fruit snacks like nakd bars

Flax and chia seeds are a great addition. Also maybe get a bag of oats as it would be cheaper in the UK it would be) and its just oats nothing else. Protein powder and changing the ratio of oats and water would help
