Well, Paragard is a non hormonal iud. The copper prevents any fertilized egg from implanting. (I think. I ain't no rocket surgeon) I have one. I've had it about ten years. I've never had a problem losing OR gaining from it.

I'm just coming off a week long flu. I also am doing a restart starting today. I tend to want comfort food when stressed/sick. Luckily I'm only up one pound, so I must've been eating close to maintenance. I hope you feel better soon!

This is like, my eighth attempt at fat loss and I've been weighing everything! I'm eating around 1750 a day and in 45 days I've lost 17 pounds!! I'm doing very good at MOSTLY staying at 5% but I have some days in which I go up to 100. My goal is losing weight and I apparently don't need ketosis to lose. I've lost 13 lbs so far (about a month in)! So I'm not strict, just playing it by ear. :)
