Congrats on the weight loss!! My trick, was to eat normal breakfast at hotel. Rather than buffet. I had a bowl of cereal and milk. If I was wanting a buffet I made sure lunch was smaller to compensate and dinner was moderate. Or Sometimes if I knew where I was going/planning on a big lunch, I skipped breakfast. I carried…

I considered it. But decided the core of my issue wasn’t the food, but the emotional tie I had to it. I needed to get to core of my eating habits and issues. Once I got past that I began losing weight. I’m glad I went this way, and there are definitely moments I’ve gone crazy on food, not form lack of it, but an…

Various reasons for not loosing weight. Between ovulation and end of TOm, my weight it’s at its highest. Before getting a huge drop. Does that sound familiar with you?

I’ve been reading about saggy skin issues with weight loss and I can’t tell you how pleased I am to read in many threads regarding this that it mostly tightens up over time if you let it. I’d feared needing surgery to remove the skin. I get for some that may be a necessity but i need to give time more than anything else!…

In those early days with #1 we were so sleep deprived the idea of cooking was laughable. However, by the time #2 rolled in, we clued up and prepped like the world was ending. But it wasn’t all lasanga, baked etc. we made sure it was healthy and reheatable think thinks like frittata, quiche, curries, etc. winter was the…

Australian too and use metric system. Happy to support if you're in the same time zone!

Yep. I get my biggest drops after ovulation and just before TOM. Then everything just flip flops for the rest of the month. However, my trend is still down. I’m losing an average of 1.5kilos a month, and that’s all that matters to me! I’m losing something!

Labels are allowed to be 10% over or under with AU regulations. You’ll get someone saying 500g, but it could be 470g or 510grams. So long as they’re not 50grams under they can’t be pulled up in it.

I like it. I have the non cellular one, and i took it swimming and i liked how accurate it was in determining my lap lengths. It's a lot more accurate than my first gen one and sadly giving me less minutes for excercise and move. but it be fair it was probably not counting it correctly. I do have to set it on outdoor walk…

I've lost 10 kilos, 20cms off my waist, 10cm off my hips. my hips are going to be the last to go unfortunately I have an apron so to speak. I do hope time will tighten it up. I have 26 weeks of progress photos. I can absolutely see the difference from week 1 to week 26 photos. but everything in between week to week? nope.…

I found it good for managing my calorie intake. I do 16:8 on average. Some days I don’t do it at all, but I’d say do it on 5 of 7 days and weight is dropping nicely. I feel less hungry delaying when I eat breakfast. I do stick to 3 main meals a day. What it does is just stops me snacking constantly between breakfast and…

Have you taken measurements of waist, hips, thighs, arm and chest? that's a good way to get indication of loss. photos aren't always as obvious to ourselves.
-
You need to supply more info.

Are you sure you didn’t have a bad set of scales for 17/18yrs age. That’s a huge drop in one month. IMO very very unlikely for your current weight now. Emotional eating is something that should Be addressed with an therapist. You’ll need to get to the bottom of your issues there. If you’re in Australia, you can get a…

I weigh everyday and use Happy Scale and Withings trend app to follow my progress. I have a lot of ups and downs, but the trend apps show my trend is down and that’s what’s really helped. Just knowing regardless of occasional blips, I’m trending downwards.

Butter coffee? 🤢 you’d be better off trying to do a flat white or a long black with a dash of milk. That’s far far less calories!

Well done on weight loss! it takes time for the body to catch up. Don't give up yet. keep doing what you're doing, providing the issue for you is you're overweight, but if you're already in healthy range it may be difficult to see the differences. I second photos and measurements. my hips and arms are the slowest to go,…

Something is wrong with your watch if the workouts drain battery after an hour. I can do least 6 hours of workout (I tested using walk outside mode before anyone gasps in aghast) before battery drains. 1 hour work out and I’d still have least 50% battery by the day’s end for every day activities that’s not a workout. Non…

@lemurcat2 What on earth are you on about? I only presented my experience. At no point was I dissing yours. I think you’ve misread what I’ve said. I was basically saying it works for some and doesn’t for others, it’s up to the person to find the best way to have a calorie Deficit.

Same. It’s helped me not fear missing out on food. I find it much easier to skip breakfast and ensure my calories are good for lunches and dinners. It’s important to ensure even IF you get a decent calorie intake for day in. No point restricting hugely doing it if you’re just going to over eat later. For example, lunch is…

I would not worry. stick to water during the day and remember, you'll be constantly moving and standing around and burning plenty off there. There's no point 'limiting' yourself otherwise you'll likely over eat in hunger with the limited food options available (I don't recall anything other than, burger and chips being an…

can you give examples of what you're putting on the table for the two of you to have?

can you sit down with her and meal plan for the week ahead? that way you're both eating the same of something together. I agree communication plays a huge part in helping her realise its not about her. she is free to eat the food, but you're not hungry or interested. it will go back and forth for a few weeks until she…

salted Rice Crackers and chocolate. no self control there at all.

well regardless of any 'diet' plan, i still count my calories. I am pre-diabetic as well as hypertension. i used MFP to figure out my calorie goal. as I have PCOS, it didn't help my body wasn't a fan of carbs, so i just did low carbs rather than eliminate carbs. I'm also doing IF of 16:8 under my doctor's advice. basically…

I'm sure its normal for the most part, but it also wouldn't hurt to see a doctor too for overall health check if you haven't done so already. when I worked out my hands used to swell up and it would be uncomfortable. I actually had high blood pressure and needed medication to bring it down. since then, my hands don't swell…

I log 'walking with a toddler in a pram' as normal outdoor walking. I do use a apple watch though. no app seems to be able to account for prams. It's annoying but best thing to do is log it in as if there was no pram.

I love bagels, but I only eat them when I'm on holidays, Otherwise, If i have one at home, I have the 6 pack. They're just so damn delicious. if you can eat just one without touching the rest and all good for calorie limit, go for it. I do find they make me so hungry afterwards, but any type of bread does.

did you colour your hair recently? I have dark brown hair, but if I colour it blonde, I look pale. It's weird. Just ignore people. Could be the make up if you wear any, your skin could actually be improving and changing the tone of your skin on face, so you may need updated makeup. I hope your 2 week maintenance break goes…
