Well, I find losing relatives is hard but easy to maintain diversity. No, wait.

Drink x glasses of water based on x body weight is pretty much a myth. If it were at all true, I would need to drink a swimming pool daily. I drink water when I'm thirsty.

Not true. I am exposed to apple cider vinegar posts a zillion times since joining MFP. They still upset me. :'(

Welcome and wish you much success with your goals!

One of my best friends is currently doing juice fasts followed by "cleanses". I love her dearly and don't want to hurt her feelings by telling her it's all hogwash. She says she feels better. I guess that's what matters some of the time. I feel better after 3 martinis, not necessarily good for me. :)

If you weigh yourself every day, and judge your success on what the scale shows - then, yes a cheat day will have a big affect on your diet. If you acknowledge that one day isn't going to have an enormous difference in the long run, then it won't. "Cheat day" questions pop up here every hour. Check them out for any other…

@quiksylver296 Sarcasm is mean. I was just trying to be a little funny. Yeah, I know. Little being the key word. :/

Gasoline, raspberries, and oreos? Sounds like the latest smoothie cleanse from JJ Smith.
-
It has to be keto-friendly and gluten free apple cider vinegar. If not, it causes metabolism confusion and starvation mode.

What the...you actually met Alice Cooper? :anguished:

Volunteer for a day at your local animal shelter.

Some athletes do calorie cycling and carb cycling. Supposedly to train muscle cells to use fuel more efficiently. But the premise of "metabolic confusion" for weight loss is not a scientific thing. Just woo.

Things won't go well if you worry because you haven't dropped weight in 3 days. You need to adjust your expectations to a more realistic level.
-
You're pretty.
-
Are you logging your calories?

It does nothing for weight loss. But get ready for the pulled pork recipes.

Group support is always good. If you can find a good chapter, TOPS is much better than WW. In my town there's only one. I checked it out, they didn't do much of anything, and only three other people showed up. :/ TOPS encourages using the exchange system instead of counting calories. Another way of tracking food.

At least they didn't need batteries. :#

What's not working? How much more weight are you wanting to lose? Are you close to what is considered normal for your height? The last few pounds/kgs can be frustratingly slow to come off.
-
I agree that you need professional help. I did notice you had WLS three years ago, as well as problems with binge eating. We all have issues with food, but food and body weight seem very serious emotional issues in your case. Please find help.
-
Well you're just wrong. And I have the scientific evidence to back it up.

Very inspirational. Thanks so much for your comment and welcome here!

The Bragg's Company pays me $10 for every apple cider vinegar post. I sometimes earn enough to pay my internet bill.

You do realize that's 6 and 1/4 pounds of water a day you are putting in your body? That probably accounts for at least some of the reasons you're not seeing this huge drop of weight you're expecting.

Agreed. But like all instances of rapid weight loss, OP needs to understand it will slow down. On his other thread, it was all about losing fast, fast, fast and having a deadline. That's a recipe for disappointment, imo.

I totally agree with this! Some people swear the loss of appetite on these diets come from ketones, and a reduction of sugar in their diet and thus no "insulin spikes". Whatever that means. I come from the generation where our mom's told us we couldn't have a cookie because it would spoil our appetite! Just my opinion, but…

I can live with entering my apple as a medium or large. But a lot of people prefer to be more accurate, and the best way to be accurate is to weigh, after peeling and/or coring your fruit. You can also create custom entries to use in your diary, if the ones already in the database seem inaccurate. And quite a few are…

Intermittent fasting threads pop up every five minutes on the board. Check them all out, they may have some useful information. As far as making IF 'more effective', it's not about what you eat or the length of your eating window. It still comes down to the number of calories you are consuming.

This happened to me the day after Taco Bell. :/

On android phones, to find your widget list you press and hold an empty space on your screen. Then press and hold the MFP widget to paste it onto your phone screen. I would assume it works the same way with iphones. Pressing the widget will then make the app open up on the diary page, but not the macros page as you wanted.…
