Truly inspirational! I can tell you're more confident now because you're not hiding behind other people in the most current shot!

I use one egg, one egg white when I make eggs for breakfast after seeing on the MFP nutrition tools that scrambling 2 eggs for breakfast got me very close to using my entire cholesteral allotment for the WHOLE DAY just at breakfast. While yes, not all fat is bad fat and not all cholesterol is bad cholesteral....to stay…

Here is my "silliest"....Fitting into airplane seats! I want to sit down and not feel like I can't move my arms without bumping the sleeping businessman next to me. I am getting close!

great progress so far! You can do it!

I've lost 50lbs so far and haven't had loose skin. Loosing the weight slowly as part of a lifestyle change helps and I've heard wait even as much as a year or two after your weight loss for the skin to spring back. Girl, we're young and we can do it! Focus on what you want to do with your increased health (keep up with…

Looks like this challenge is popular! I had success setting a personal weight loss goal between Nov. 1 and Jan. 1 so for this challenge, I'd like to lose 15lbs (a little less than 2lbs per week)! Although I do go to the gym for both cardio and strength training, I am thinking about starting a workout program like P90x or…

My aunt had the sugery, she's lost a ton of weight....gone from a size 18 to a 6....and she does exercise. She's experienced negative side effects like brittle hair...b/c she can not absorb enough vitamins to keep healthy hair. However, I've used calorie counting and exercise to go from a size 16/18 to a 10/12....and I'm…

I try to drink a big glass of water before giving in to an evening snack. Then I feel more full. I also try to avoid my 'triggers'....like grabbing a snack before watching TV.....b/c that usually leads me to graze during the whole duration of the show. I also work out in the evenings, which keeps me busy and not eating.…

Get which ever you think you would use more. I burn more calories on the treadmill b/c I'm not hanging on to the handlebars and I walk/jog at a slight incline. Withe the elliptical you have to make sure the resistance is high enough that it is actually a challenge.

My suggestion would be to enjoy a bite or two of them, then give yourself permission to throw the rest away. The people who gave you those gifts want to show their appreciation of your hard work. You don't have to eat every bite of the sweets to appreciate their thoughtfulness. This is one of my biggest breakthroughs since…

Me too! My family tells me I complain that I'm cold a lot more this winter....I lost at least 40lbs of my insulation!

I am 5'4 with a petite frame and my doctor told me to shoot for around 150lb and then re-evaluate my goals (even though I would have to weigh in between 130 and 145 to be consided healthy according the BMI chart). He told me that you can be a little higher on the BMI scale and not generate a great degree of concern for…

My scale and measuring cups.....I try to NEVER just "eyeball it" on dinner portions or snack out the box anymore. My heartrate monitor....now I know how many calories I burned and how hard I have to work to get to my target heart rate My sigg water bottle....helps me get my daily water in! Crystal Light.....especially the…

Thanks for sharing! Although some of weight loss is a no-brainer (less calories consumed than calories burned), the reasons WHY we gained the weight in the first place are emotional and mental. The quotes you shared were beautfully written.

And try mixing up your exercise. Your body may be used to all the rigorous work you're putting it through now.

Feeling like it a chore to bend over and tie my shoes.....having my mom, who's always struggled with weight give me advice about what to wear/etc. "at our size" .....and knowing I was TOO young to give up and accept being "the fat girl"

There should be at least one or two fittings before the wedding, so you'll be able to see the progress working toward the dress you really want. Also, c'mon no one is looking at the size of the dress on your wedding day....if you were shooting for a size 6 and you end of with a size 8 that flatters your figure....it's all…

Maybe talk to your doctor and get his/her suggestions. If cramps are interferring with normal daily activities....you might want explore what they suggest

90lbs in less than a year? AMAZING. You look great, what an inspiration.

I've been there! Writing down how great you feel when you are staying on track helps you get out of the rut. Great job, keep taking it one day and one workout at a time!

make a healthy choice, use the yogurt instead of a cream cheese dip. I always have veggies to dip in hummus or low-cal ranch at parties so there is another low calorie, relatively healthy snacking option (the sugars in fruit add up!)

Everyone has to start somewhere! You're making a great choice! It seems like an ambitious goal right now, but you can do it! Just focus on one day at a time, making those healthy changes to eat less calories than you burn.

Wow, great photos! You've undergone a true transformation. Great work!
