I have a 6 quart Instant Pot Ultra and a 3 quart Instant Pot Duo Mini. They both have their places. I use the big pot for main courses and the mini pot for side dishes. So you can be making Mongolian beef in one pot and rice in the other.

Fairlife is ultra-pasteurized. That is the only type of milk you can use for cold start. You can use any milk if you do the heat process.

very nice! I haven't tried a whole chicken yet. Also I have to wrestle with deciding if I want to do it in the instant pot or my air fryer.

Welcome to the group! Look forward to seeing your recipes.

I made some more egg bites this morning only I used one less egg and one less turkey link. I liked them better, had the texture I'm used to when I make them in the oven.

Looks good!

I want to try that oreo cheesecake too. I need to get a new seal first. Don't want to make cheesecake that taste like onions. I plan to never cook onions or garlic in my new little pot. Hopefully it won't smell bad.

I'm waiting for my little one (3 quart) to come in the mail. It seems most of the more serious IP users have more than one.

Sounds like I do my recipes. I have learned to look at the ingredients. I can tell if there is enough liquid, etc. And I base the time on what would take the longest too.

My boyfriend will eat everything except for lima beans, and he suffers because of my hatred of them.
-
I just can't do it. Too old to change. LOL.

I do that now, microwave his broccoli. But I have also steamed it on the stove and he likes it much better. So I'll try it in the pot next time.

I'm glad you are excited! Hope you find lots of good advice and recipes here

I'm in Maryland. Tyson is here, we also have Perdue. I prefer to buy Perdue over the store brand. I try to avoid the huge breasts, LOL.

I don't make many veggies. But I just purchased a Duo Mini so I can do Rice and sides while the main dish is cooking in the pot. Things that cannot cook together because of different cook times and temperatures. I do plan to try steaming broccoli for my boyfriend. I'm pretty much a meat and potatoes girl. This is why it's…

I have found the texture of those massive Walmart or Sam's Club chicken breasts to be strange. Almost like when you bite into it, it's got a snap or a crunch? not sure how to say it. It has a tough outer membrane or something. I stopped buying them. I got a problem with textures.

Good to know, I'll pass that on.

Well I'm not gonna argue with you since I have never made yogurt. Don't really like yogurt, but I've heard of people who hate store bought but are loving the instant pot yogurt. I do not like the sourness or tartness of yogurt.
-
I love that you can cook from frozen too. I gave up on chicken breasts and now I purchase the frozen tenders in a bag. The tenders are just that, more tender! Easy to throw in a recipe.
-
You can make yogurt with any model, but only cold start with pots that have a yogurt button.

I made pineapple upside down cake but I messed it up. But the recipe is good. I just needed to read it, LOL. I forgot to put in the eggs and oil. Here is the recipe: Pressure Luck's Pineapple Upside Down Cake

Please do, share your recipes! It's been my favorite past time for the last month so looking forward to seeing your recipes.

I'm just waiting for a sale! Definitely want the Duo for the 3 quart. Do not need another ultra (I love my Ultra), and the lux doesn't do low and high pressure.
-
Yes I would recommend a 6 quart. Depending on what you want to do with it? Do you want to make Yogurt? That is the big question to decide what you are going to make. Here is a great link that has a diagram to help you to decide which pot to buy for your needs. Which Instant Pot to Buy

I am looking for a 3 quart duo now to compliment my 6 quart Ultra. So I can do rice while the main course is in the big pot. Or, I'm getting a second inner pot, probably cheaper.
-
I will have to wait until I'm done working to see them. Office has restricted my viewing. Thank you for contributing!

I made his pot roast last night. It is to die for! Pressure Luck Best Ever Instant Pot Roast Here is a photo of my roast, it is mouthwatering!

I haven't made brown rice yet. But my cheat sheet says to use 1:1 for 20 minutes HP. I would probably do 1:1.25 at least and do quick release. I've seen recipes that call for natural release on rice, but I think that makes it mushy. I always do a QR.

Thank you. I am posting. Just waiting for others to come and contribute. Welcome!

I have now lost 10 pounds without really trying using the instant pot every night.
