So I've been home in the UK for ten days visiting family so didn't have time to keep up with this thread. Wow it moves fast. Well dome to everyone running in the insane temperatures you have posted. @Faebert I ran in the UK over each day of the bank holiday weekend, I agree, too hot for running really. I enjoyed running in…

@eleanorhawkins my phone regularly treks the same run as anything up to 200m difference, very frustrating! I'd go with your watch. Today was a two-run day for me. 3.4km in the morning with my boyfriend, who was tired from the hill run yesterday so didn't want to go far. Not a great run through the village- too many people…

Back home in the UK for a week and it feels AMAZING to run in a pleasant temperature! Did 2.5km yesterday to stretch after flying, and 5km this morning up a beautiful footpath in Cambridgeshire. Mostly uphill which was torture, then a lovely gentle long downhill which felt like flying. I'd definitely do trail running if I…

Home from holidays and got to weigh in, and I lost! So pleased with myself: SW:217.8 CW:211.3 August goal: lose 8 lb Long term goal: lose 50lb My goals last week: 1. Run at least 5 times - managed this, even though getting up early each day was torture 2. Only drink three times - managed this, torture! 3. Eat under 2000…

Lovely 5km run in the forest this morning, and faster than ive been recently (or the trees played havoc with my GPS 😁). Back home in Bucharest now, hot here but nowhere near as humid as Spain was, so running felt soooo much better!

@PastorVincent looking at photos of that cake is making me want to snack.... Must. Resist! I'd definitely go with dressing up the race entry as a lovely gift, maybe over a nice dinner or on a special occasion, if you have one coming up...

Hi all, had a good few days of travelling, mad business and lack of internet, but have been trying to run when I could. The heat continues to defeat me, especially on the 10th when I just couldn't face running any further. Still making progress though, so pleased with that. From Saturday I'll be in England visiting family,…

Doing terribly at weighing myself as I am on holiday still, but I have been hitting my targets in terms of running 5 days a week and logging most of my food. Am checking in to help myself get into the habit... Anyway, SW : 217.6 GW : 170 by NYE (super ambitous, if I make 185 I'll be happy). Weigh-in days: Sunday. 14/7/19 -…

Hi all, I have been on holiday and not checking the boards much, so great to see how many people have joined us! Despite being on holiday then I am proud I stuck to my goals for the week: SW:217.8 CW:217.8 - keeping this the same as I can't weigh myself yet, hoping it hasn't gone up too badly! August goal: lose 8 lb Long…

@ContraryMaryMary amazing! Sounds like a great race! I did a lovely 5k along the coast this morning, then got straight in the sea, which is just the BEST way to cool.down and recover! Plus we swam off the rocks so were surrounded by fish of all shapes and sizes, such a lovely start to the morning! Have a good 4th August…

@Terytha that's amazing, well done! @unstableunicorn that's a really good idea. Once I return to work in September I'm going to do the same.

A short run in the evening after resting my knee all day as I twisted it a bit playing padel last night. Only 2.5km, but quite fast, and lovely temperatures. I wish I could run in the evening all the time, but when I'm at work I'm just so tired when I get home. @skippygirlsmom the hornets sound terrifying! I did a race…

@floofyschmoofer you can totally see it in your face! Big difference. My face is where I lose weight first as well, really odd but people always notice it there first, even if my clothes size has changed weeks earlier.

Hi all, how was everyone's first two days of the month? My goals were: 1. Run at least 5 times -done both days 2. Only drink three times - drank 3 glasses of red wine last night. None tonight! 3. Eat under 2000 calories per day - think I managed yesterday, but ate out so my dinner was estimated. 4. Only eat bread twice -no…

A short 2.5km run this morning as I got up late (too much wine last night!) And it was already very hot. Enjoyed it though, Running through the orange groves is very calming. @polskagirl01 that sounds great! I have done a lot of hiking and 50km in 10 hours is hard work with not many stops, but very doable if you're in HM…

A lovely run this morning to start August off. 5km which I quite enjoyed, which I wasn't expecting as a) it was hot, about 28C at 8am, b) my headphones weren't working so I had no entertainment and c) we were running into a strong wind which made the going difficult. However, not having headphones made me concentrate on…

Hi all, I'd love to join you. I just read through the whole July thread (wow, you guys are prolific!), and am amazed by what a great support group you all are to each other, especially though the loss of your friend. He sounds like an inspirational guy and I'm sorry I didn't know him. A bit about me: I'm British, 35, live…

@fallenangel66 my problem is that I'm a teacher, so I'm on holiday for 8 weeks! (Obviously with plenty of work to do, but on a holiday vibe) . Need to not go over the top for that long or I'll gain a ton!
-
Also @laaloba you are such a survivor! Wow! Well done for even continuing to try, I'm so impressed!
-
Hey all, I'd love to join. I'm British, 35, heavier than ive ever been at 217.8lb and not impressed with it. I used mfp to get from 200 to 145 six years ago, since then the weight has crept back on, especially as living with my boyfriend means man portions! SW:217.8 CW:217.8 August goal: lose 8 lb Long term goal: lose 50lb…

Hey all, I camt weigh in this week as am on holiday and can't find a scale anywhere! Am trying to be good and running and swimming a lot, finding it difficult to make healthy food choices though... has anyone ever managed to not gain whilst on holiday?! SW : 217.6 GW : 170 by NYE (super ambitous, if I make 185 I'll be…

@randolphmegan91 thank you, I was feeling pretty down but that helped! Especially your original typo :D

Late to weigh in as I broke my phone... oops! Bad start. Also a bad start to the weightloss... Anyway, SW : 217.6 GW : 170 by NYE (super ambitous, if I make 185 I'll be happy). Weigh-in days: Sunday. 14/7/19 - 217.6 lbs 21/7/19 - 218.2 lbs 28/7/19 Weight loss so far : PLUS 0.6lb.

You're doing so well!

Haha also I'm super.proud of myself for getting the spoiler thing to work, never done that before!

Hey, can i join? Better late than never, right? I have just rejoined mfp after a year away and am keen to join in some challenges again, but starting mid-month means there aren't so many! Anyway, SW : 217.6 GW : 170 by NYE (super ambitous, if I make 185 I'll be happy). Weigh-in days: Sunday. 14/7/19 - 217.6 lbs 21/7/19…

Anything with a drawstring stays up, I find. Anything with just a waist band is soooo annoying as I have to pull it up all the time.
