Track: yes Calories: no Exercise: yes* Treadmill: 1.03 mi / 20mins Pass Days: 2/3 I'm sorry to say that today was a pass day. We went out for breakfast and did a bunch of errands ending the night at a birthday party for a friend. I was pretty happy that our host roasted a bunch of veggies (broccoli, cauliflower and Brussel…

I would like to encourage those of us who are new this month to keep reporting everyday even if you aren't getting getting all three yes days. Some of us who have been here for many months took a while to become successful at limiting our pass days. Which of the three rules are you finding the most difficult to do? For me…

I would also like to know why I keep getting logged out for the "diary" portion but not discussions. Yesterday I had to login three times to log my food. This only started a few days ago. Please fix this ASAP. It's very frustrating. I'm still very unhappy about the upgrades you made a few months ago with the excessive…

Track: yes Calories: yes Exercise: yes* Treadmill: 1.46 mi / 26mins * Upper Body Dumbbells (circuit style / no rest) / 15mins Pass Days: 1/3 I track the usual carb/fat/protein (@40/30/30) plus fiber and satfat. I don't care about fat (most of my fat is olive oil) but do try to keep saturated fat within recommended levels.…

Track: yes Calories: yes Exercise: yes* Treadmill: 4.03 mi / 74 min Pass Days: 1/3 That's the most time I've spent on the treadmill in forever. I was reading on my Kindle and had about 10% of the book left to read. I wanted to finish it so kept walking. I had to slow down after about 3mi because my hip on the right side…

@mshawski Kikkoman makes a gluten free soy sauce though I usually use Tamari since it's gluten free. I haven't noticed any difference from regular soy sauce. I've used the coconut aminos but I don't find them as satisfactory though they are a decent alternative for those who do Paleo/W30. I get quite frustrated with food…

pass day as expected… tomorrow i’ll be back on track.

I’m ending the month with another pass day as I had no opportunity for exercise today. Even though I had only two meals today my dinner choices were out of my control so I made the best choices I could. Tomorrow will probably not be much better (airport food) but my plans for February UAC are to get back on track beginning…

I managed a 40 min walk this afternoon but it wasn’t enough to overcome my calorie intake today so another pass day. No winner circle for me.

pass day … no exercise and logging estimates take me over calories

as expected … pass day i walked in the airport for about 30 mins (watch only recorded 26 mins) and logged my food so far but it’s apparent any more food will put me over and it’s early still. i’m also limited to one coffee shop place for food because my flight arrived six!!! hours before my partner will arrive. i had hoped…

That sunset is gorgeous @Arc2Arc ... it almost looks unreal.

pass day :/ I have an early morning flight tomorrow and won't be back until late Tuesday so I'll have pass days for 28Jan-1Feb. There will be little opportunity for exercise and I'll be eating restaurant meals though I'll still attempt to log my meals and minimize calories but based on past experience I know I'll be up a…

That sucks @WhatMeRunning ... I hope it's mild and you have a quick recovery.

I see periodic empty shelves all the time at all of the stores I shop at and have since spring of 2020 though it's never been as bad as it was for one period of time last year when I could find no rice anywhere for more than a month. For some reason Kroger pasta shelves are always half empty but other categories change a…

I am back for yet another month (#15). UAC keeps me focused even when I have too many pass days it's still on my mind to follow the three rules. I continue to be stuck at the high end of my healthy weight range and would really like to focus on losing a couple of pounds this month so I can get closer to the lower range.

Track: yes Calories: yes Exercise: yes* Treadmill: 1.31 mi / 22 min Pass Days: 3/3 While I'm all for whole foods and mostly eat that way there are still a handful of minimally processed items that I regularly buy. Plant based would never work for me. I dislike lentils, most types of beans and meat substitutes (fake meat,…

Black (soy) bean "spaghetti" with chicken, pesto, cherry tomatoes & fresh basil.

I'll play it by ear for future doses. Up until the last two years I didn't get flu shots because I've never had the flu but I decided to just in case. And also in the back of my head I thought I might start getting them as I got older (I'm 62) since my immune system would likely become less robust. I assume once this…

January goal: < 120 Joining a little late this month. Same goal as the last few months. 07 - 121.2 18 - 121.5 25 - 121.0 This is probably as good as it's going to get in January since I'll be out of town over the weekend. :'(

Curried wild boar slider patties. Sides of oven roasted butternut squash (with fresh rosemary) and broccoli. I usually make meat sauce for pasta with the wild boar but wanted to try something different. Durham Ranch had this curried recipe for the meat mixture…

Playing with the Ninja again. Air broiled grass fed ribeye (medium rare) and air fried fries. I used the usual Primal Kitchen Chili Lime mayo for the fries (not pictured).

pass day #3 I forgot to exercise ... got up barely early enough to get ready so I could go with my partner to food shop while he was getting a haircut and then completely forgot about doing upper body weights like I had planned. Calories and tracking are fine. Food shopping is becoming a PITA. So many of the things I…

Super! Looks like you're doing well with maintenance then which you switched to not that long ago if I remember correctly.

We went to a noodle house for dinner. I had Tonkotsu Ramen Soup with two kinds of mushrooms added. Chili oil on the side so I could control the heat because unlike my partner I like only a tiny bit of spice. He got a spice bomb for his ramen soup. We also had an appetizer of gyoza but I forgot to take a photo.

In the post I did two weeks ago we discussed hunger and the link to the article I posted mentioned cravings as possibly related to hunger so this week I found a pretty good article about cravings. It discusses the neurobiology of cravings, food craving vs addiction as well as other factors that affect cravings such as food…
