@jamcnewman If you forget to manually start a walking (or running) workout on the Apple watch it will ask you if you are doing a workout. If you are you can say yes. It usually takes it a 4-5 minutes to notice that you are possibly doing a workout. It doesn't do it when I do EPIC though sadly because sometimes I forget to…

Actually, did something change since yesterday? I go to my favorites and open each thread in a separate tab (because I hate having to go back and find a new thread over again). As of today when I open the tab it goes to the beginning instead of the latest posts. If open it from the favorites page it goes to where it should…

Playing with our new air fryer. The two on the left are fish cakes (more or less) with mashed potatoes, flounder, chives and egg. The two on the left are crocchette with mashed potatoes, two types of cheese (gruyere & pecorino), fresh sage, prosciutto and egg. I used some Primal Kitchen garlic mayo aioli as the dipping…

@mshawski that doesn't sound right to me at all so I would wonder what her credentials are. Maybe try another one who has an actual degree and perhaps one who specializes in vegetarian or vegan (I thought you were vegetarian not vegan but now I'm not sure). They may be more in tune with your nutritional needs. As far as I…

No winners circle for me ... probably will end up with a pass day tomorrow since we're going to a friends house for NYE. I'll be fine today since meals are already planned.

Sorry to say today is a pass day. I slept late and we met my partners sister and BIL for lunch. By the time we got home I was too full to even consider the treadmill. I'm still full four hours later and will have a light frittata for dinner at some point. Calories & logging will be fine. It's only the exercise that is a…

I'm back for month #14. My primary issue in the past was exercise rather than food or logging so UAC has kept me on the path of regular exercise to the point it has become second nature. It's rare that I miss a day these days. Welcome to all new and returning members. My only advice is to report everyday regardless of…

I'd still like to…

The perils of copy/paste ... I didn't do treadmill on the 27th. I only did EPIC.

Can you recommend any brands? Someone posted about some of the non-alcoholic "spirits" a while back but they are more expensive than alcohol and when looking at the ingredient list it seemed to mostly be sugar water so I'm reluctant to spend money on that type of thing. Especially since there are a ton of mocktail recipes…

Gluten free penne w/meat sauce (topped with pecorino w/truffle) and garlic bread. The penne was made from zucchini, lentil and pea flours. The penne has an awful texture and not a flavor I particularly liked but the meat sauce overpowered it, thankfully. The bread was a gluten free baguette. Meat sauce was wild boar, lots…

Trying to work all the Christmas appetizer/charcuterie leftovers into meals this week. Tonight a salad of romaine, avocado, cherry tomatoes & pre-made Greek salad components (feta and two types of olives). Added a couple of pieces of prosciutto and two fried eggs (over easy). It was surprisingly filling.

This is such an excellent point. My partner who still works is on vacation this week and even though I'm retired I tend to go into vacation mode with him which means I probably won't be AF for the rest of the month in spite of intending to earlier in the month. I'll still be reasonable with quantity. I wonder about…

December goal: < 120 03 - 122.3 Ugh ... not sure why this vacation ended up so high but it should be better in a few more days 07 - 120.9 Back to pre-vacation range <3 10 - 119.9 Another flirt with < 120 ... will it stick this time? 13 - 119.6 18 - 118.6 Only the second time this year I've been under 119 ... finally making…

@BMcC9 I'll always recommend EPIC. Best workout I've ever done. And I say this as an experienced weight lifter. But doing weights at home is different than in a gym especially for lower body. If you've not done much with weights then her beginner series is a good intro. Also for the month of December she is doing 24 days…

Bresaola w/arugula, shaved parm, capers and lemon. Bruschetta w/whipped ricotta & lemon on whole wheat bread (added some prosciutto to it). Rigatoni w/slow cooked pork ragu, roasted garlic & basil topped with burrata. This was from a newer pizzeria but we didn't want pizza so split these three dishes instead.
