I’ve lost 17 lbs (152 to 135lb.)while training for my marathon it’s in a few weeks and I am tapering now. I eat something like oatmeal or a bagel before long runs and use gu energy gels during long runs. I usually carry more than I need and eat them when I feel like I need it. And I drink a protein shake after the run,…

Congratulations! You look so happy at the finish! A triathlon is on my bucket list. You’re an inspiration.

I got to 19 miles. I didn’t run the 20 I should have last week, I felt it was too much of a risk to my foot and ran 13. I’ve been sticking to the rest of my taper and will do my weekly runs and 12 miles for my long run.

Sorry typo. I ran MOST of my weekly runs on the treadmill due to time with work and family. And longer runs outside. I followed the plan I missed only 2 or 3 of the shorter runs. My pace is about 12 min mile. I should be ok with the cut off time. This is the most I’ve ever trained for a road race. I just thought I would…

15lbs down from 152 to 137. My clothes are fitting me much better now! I still want to lose another 5 lbs at least and work on toning.
-
I think you look great! I find that I usually feel self conscious in fitted clothes, like “oh no people will know I have a butt and hips.” Be confident and remember to have good posture. Love the shoes

18 mile run. Thank goodness for marathon training. It’s been great motivation to go outside and run even thought it’s cold out.
-
I don’t carry anything for a half but I just bought a running belt with a water bottle for my marathon training runs. Whatever you pick just make sure it feels comfortable for you and get used to carrying it on training runs before your race.

16 mile run. Yay marathon training!

I always have a cup of special k cereal with half a cup of milk and coffee. It’s quick and gives me enough to start the day.
-
You look great! Same Beautiful smile in all your photos!

I don’t really meal prep but I do meal plan for the week. I find that this helps me stick to my grocery budget, takes the stress away from trying to figure out what to make for dinner and keeps my fridge stocked with healthy options.

Today’s workout 15 miles! Marathon training is really starting to get real!

I’m so sorry to hear about your dog , they really are part of the family. I’m a volunteer at a shelter as a dog runner so I get to take out shelter dogs for a run. It gets them exercise and people notice them when we are out so that helps them get adopted. You could try to walk dogs for a shelter if you’re felling up to it.

12 mile run in the snow.

Wow so sorry to hear about your job. I hate how corporate can just cut out people. Maybe this closed door will lead you to an even better job opportunity. I find that I want to stress eat too what really helps my mood is to get outside for a walk or a run.
-
Are you running every day? Maybe a rest day will help, also make sure your stretching before and after and foam rolling helps there are videos on YouTube about it and it really helps with sore muscles. Last summer I ran a 10 mile race, 2 half marathons and a 25k tail run. There are a lot of fun races in the summer. Good…

As a runner this quote has always stuck with me. “The hardest part is putting on your shoes” because once your shoes are on you have made the decision to do it. It has helped me get out the door for a run many times.
-
I would look into getting your gait checked at a running store that will also fit you for the best shoes for your running form and foot shape.

I’m planning on running the Pittsburgh marathon in May and the Cook Forest 26K trail run in August.
