Does Garmin weight running more highly? I'm kind of disinclined to believe my 50 (it calculated with my new watch, and doesn't even represent my summer capacity) if someone who cycles a lot is at 40.

Do you think Blue Milk has a very different nutrition profile than regular milk? Based on The Last Jedi, I'm guessing green milk has more calories than blue.

I think it is an issue that even getting to goal might not change. I found myself far more critical and even harsh in my own head when I was down to a single digit body fat than I was when I was 285lb. At 285, I could acknowledge I was big, but never think of myself as really having a problem. At 160, I had a period where…

Oh, about food... No.

You seem to not understand what a study is - a report of an average. It doesn't mean for the individual, weight loss will always be faster.

I'm following the doctor and glad he's kind of conservative on things, keeping in the hospital because I'm draining a lot from one bag and seem to have lost a fair amount of blood.
-
It was 4 hours plus me being out for another 2 hours. One of my drains kept filling a lot with clots. I can't stand yet without getting dizzy. It looks like I might get a transfusion.

I ended up with the flu the day before my original scheduled day. I just had it done yesterday, Fat Tuesday. Kind of funny to give up flesh that day. And now I have to give up the gym for more than 40 days.

No, my recollection is it being mentioned specifically about vibration platforms because they're a target for mocking in evidence based fitness. I think it was Eric Helms or Brad Schoenfeld mentioning how with context, it isn't even true to dismiss them because while they're worthless for strength or hypertrophy, they have…

Oh well, I won't sweat the hate.

Look, I'm not interested in people I'm not interested in, so I watch out for tautologists.
-
Sounds like it might be some variant of Starting Strength.
-
I'm glad to see these definitions. I'm always confused by why anyone puts on a dating profile they "like to have fun" - always seems an uninformative tautology to me. I'd be really interested in the people who could explain how they do no like to have fun.

You greatly underestimate my ability to stack crab rangoon and delude myself about it. Actually, I think the last time I was at a Chinese buffet, I was losing but not logging, ate two very moderate plates and weighed less the next day. I had mixed feelings about that weigh in - sure I was still losing, but darn it, I let…

If you can't make your own neurotransmitters, store bought is fine. There's nothing wrong conceptually with being medicated. A particular medication may not be right for you for whatever reason. I found eventually with weight loss, diet and exercise I eventually felt a part of my life long depression was at a kind of…

I think my favorite entry like this is the "Chinese buffet, serving size 1 plate" that's a flat 1,000 calories.

I'm just being properly over reductionist. I think the inhibition is just one way though with cAMP blocking mTOR, but not the other way around, but I'm not sure. The asymetry would make it funnier with how a lot of body builders use cardio as euphemism.

I kind of want a rustled jimmies badge for X # disagrees. At the least, it would give disagree stalkers something to think about before letting the hate flow through them.

Stories about half the visits to a GNC...
-
I hope not. It might mean putting on a shirt.
-
Is there an actual progression scheme to that? There's a huge number of plans that could represent from doing an undulating block program with microplate loading with wave loading patterns, to just going to the gym, hitting something on your upper body and something on your lower, and calling it a day twice a week.
-
Eh, cAMP pathway versus mTOR.
-
Shirtless guy argument. Let me in on the action.

I've seen studies discuss waist size or waist ratio to another body metric. I can't recall ever seeing a study discussing belly fat. That they discuss waist size as correlative to visceral fat levels or predictive of pathologies doesn't mean the it presumes the waist size is composed of a visceral fat component.…

I think there is some evidence of using vibration platforms for bone and tendon injury healing. Weight loss, strength, hypertrophy, not so much.
-
Seriously doubt a single jimmy was even nudged, let alone anything rustled, or "triggered". Perhaps you should speculate with yourself why you read the conversation that way.
-
Did you enter into some kind of social agreement with someone else about your body? I'm guessing no. Then the term cheating just doesn't fit. Would I recommend you eat your big kid foods more? Sure. They'll probably help you stay on track too. The evidence suggest, if you're getting in your micronutrients in general, and…

Combined with your username, this sounds ominous.

Well at that point the people who were in this thread might have 8 years of knowledge to share. Or they might be completely gone. Or you could try this thread for a buddy in the same boat: https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/10784913/total-beginner-needing-help

Visceral fat is exactly the kind of fat that won't cause a loss of inches. Belly fat =\= visceral fat. Belly fat is subcutaneous fat located at the belly.
