Thanks all, I never think of fruit and veg being high calorie, just googled avocado it's quite calorific, I shall give it a try, I can't seem to eat nuts and seeds at the moment unfortunately.

Bless you, I hope you have a long remission - I had about 12 years after first op - right hemi colectomy. After second op I'd been on biologics 6 years until last year, on pred at moment restarting biologics next week, It's hard to get all the nutrients when restricted, I started the diary last week trying to get in 1600…

When I'm in remission I can eat alot of different things except for high fibre, beans and some fruit, dried pasta is a definite no, I'm ok with most veggies though better if puréed.

Hi :) I have Crohn's disease and IBS & have been vegetarian for over a year, I also have intolerances to soya, egg white, fish, peanut and milk, it's hard to avoid all though because lots of other things also flare my Crohn's up. some days I can eat something fine then the next time I will suffer. It's trial and error.
