Shite, probably.......

I don't have an answer but I couldn't just read and run. Lots of us know what we "should" do, but putting it in practise for ourselves is often harder. Sending π€π€π€ and I hope someone comes along soon who can offer some constructive words/help for you π

Oh, is it that OP again? π

Thank you sooo much for posting this π My only exercise is walking outdoors. I'll soon be adding a few dailys laps of our communal swimming pool too but I was wondering to myself a few days ago, what will I do when autumn/winter comes and I can't get outside as much? Now I have a solution! I didn't know that indoorsβ¦

5.2lbs down in May and that includes a 12 day holiday where I went way over maintenance each day π

When I enter foods into the database I use this site for salt/sodium values.... https://www.heartfoundation.org.au/healthy-eating/food-and-nutrition/salt/sodium-and-salt-converter

Ooh, I'd like to know your superior system, if you don't mind sharing please?

I finished a 12 day holiday 6 days ago. I ate a lot more than my maintenance calories on most of those days and my tracking was probably off because I ate a lot of foods that I wouldn't normally. I weighed and measured myself 2 days after the holiday ended and although my weight was up by 2.6 lbs, my measurements wereβ¦

Ah, I'm using the website. Thanks anyway π

I like soup for breakfast. Lentil, chicken & vegetables, bean and vegetables.

I mean this in the kindest way but, why are you asking total strangers on the internet if we think you should lose weight? Are YOU happy with how YOU feel? Are YOU happy with what YOU see in the mirror? If yes, then sod what anyone else will tell you π
-
My goal weight is the one that I feel that I looked best at before I gained weight due to illness. I'm just about 2lbs up from that now so once I've knocked that off I'll see if I want to go a little bit lower.
-
How do you change it to start the week on a different day please?
-
Don't be so hard on yourself, and take baby steps. There will be other members along that will offer support but, I'd just like to give you a (((π€))) I understand depression and the pit of hell that it is. Have you spoken to your doctor about how you are feeling? π

Ooh, I wouldn't mind a grand (or otherwise!) mariner, on the rocks or anywhere. You can hold the cranberry splash though πππ
-
Yes I will π I've got 2 more days of holiday left so I'll definitely relax a bit over food choices then look to maintain whatever my weight is afterwards. It was my birthday yesterday and we had 2 meals out plus birthday cake. I daren't get on the scale today! π

I hadn't realised that that kind of belp was available online. I've just searched and found some though π Although, I really don't think that I need it right now, but thanks though π

Sorry that it's taken so long to get back but we've been travelling around a fair bit. So, I've been eating and drinking loads more than normal but also trying to be active as well and over the last 7 days I've lost 1.6lbs. My measurements have also decreased by a smidgen too. Ive just calculated my average net caloriesβ¦

@NovusDies I don't know why your post got a "Woo" π€ I've only read the first article but it was very interesting and, I'd have thought, the OP could well do with reading it.

When I had breast cancer I needed a partial mastectomy plus 30 rounds of radiotherapy. I'm also taking an aromatase Inhibitor for the next 5-8 years. During treatment I tried to eat as much protein as I could (chicken, yoghurt, nuts etc.) and plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables. I didn't worry about calories at all, Iβ¦

That looks delicious π Do you have the nutritional information for this please?
-
Sorry, reading my last post back to myself, it's obvious that I didn't make it clear. I meant that after the holiday weight gain (whatever that comes to) I'll use that weight as my maintenance goal. As I mentioned before, I don't want to alter my activity level because it will soon be far too hot here for me to be able toβ¦

Well, providing that I don't put on too much weight over the rest of my holiday, I almost certainly will stick to maintenance calories plus 50% of any exercise calories I gain. I don't want to get too big, just not as skinny as I look now. Or before I ate today π
-
Oh please don't worry about me, I'm fine π There's no ED help here, at all in my area. All the times before, I was in the UK with our wonderful NHS but now I live in the back of beyond in Turkey and there's nothing. I'm sure I don't need any outside help anyway as I just ate a tuna salad roll and plate of chips. Washedβ¦

P.S. I too think I probably could change my activity level but fairly soon it will be too hot here to be able to do much exercise (aside from using the pool) so I will be a lot less active until the end of summer.
-
I'm sorry, I know my posts are confusing. I said I lost too much weight and would like to change to maintenence but I don't seem to want to stop losing or, god forbid, gain. It's like there's a devil on one shoulder and an angel on the other. It's the old ED thought process that pops back every so often. I'm used to it butβ¦

Well, whilst I'm having my holiday, I'm just using maintenance calories, as given by MFP, plus 50% of my exercise calories as a rough guideline. I'm making fairly sensible food and drink choices and I'm eating a lot more than I have been since the end of February. Once the holiday is over I'll reevaluate my goals but forβ¦

For anyone still following this thread, it's day 3 of my holiday. I went way over maintenance calories (by 480! π¨) on the first day, yesterday I was 100 under so not too bad really. I'm hosting dinner today and have prepped most of the food already. Most is made from scratch so I've been able to calculate roughly how manyβ¦
