A little late, but here I am, Gabi 50yo married with 2 kids, leaving in Northern VA and with a full time desk job. Work is busy and cheap-drama heavy, so I’m grateful for my happy dog and the close by park trails these days. I’m about 15lb to goal and when I blink it seems even farther 😁. February to April I’m doing the…

3/22- moderate sleep, also noticed my day was productive but quiet with not as many interruptions, so probably less stress to deal with. 3/23- should have been the same or better as we got some night rain, but my spring break child had a catch up with friends online time, way after 3am and my very light sleep suffered. I…

Username: GabiV125 Check in day: Thursday PW: 135.5 CW: 134.5 Teresa- hugs to you and your husband! Favorite veggie- corn for me, please. Daily, and hold the butter😁. I’m doing a March sleep challenge and although I didn’t improve dramatically (I wish), I’m discovering new things about myself to understand some 3h sleep…

It’s official- my Sunday nights are never good, so I have the pleasure to start the work week cranky and then fake smile until the coffee kicks in. Regardless of how the sleep went, I kept to my night preparations this month and it’s not a routine yet but I’m getting there. I’m happy with this.

3/18 and 3/19- I had 4-5 sleep interruptions each night (minimum 15 minutes each) and being able to sleep in the extra hour felt wonderful. Or maybe having more daylight time in the weekend is the reason I feel better as the office has no windows. Or both. My worst time sleep wise was when I had newborns because I have…

3/16, 3/17- my days have been busy with heavy things on my mind (can’t help or influence, just wait for the bad or worse news) so I got what I could out of my nights. Not too bad considering, (about 5h). Yesterday I went to an indoor pool, first time in more than 2 years, and I remembered how exhausting 50 minutes can be.…

Username: GabiV125 Check in day: Thursday PW: 134.5 CW: 135.5 I had some very bad news Monday afternoon and it threw me off - not as bad in the eating area, as in my sleep and water retention. Most mornings I can’t make a fist 😩. Scale jumped crazy up and down so the current number is irrelevant. My 6*week exercise to end…

3/14 and 3/15- I’m slowly working on adding minutes to my sleep, or at the very least at the wind down time. I went to bed early last 2 nights and read or played Sudoku (the only game that makes me sleepy) , while wearing my blue light filter glasses . Stressful things all around and allergy season is on, so any small win…

3/12 and 3/13 - neither night went too good, the clock change was painful, and not the best decisions were made food wise. Tomorrow is a new day.
-
3/11- fell asleep close to 11 and then stayed awake 1:45- 6am from the noisy ice storm . Drifted in and out 6-9, and woke up somewhat energized, so went for a 2h walk in the cold and wind midday and an hour of indoor biking in the evening. Most people have sinus issues at season changes, but my ears are always the ones…

I had a bad night too, without changing anything significant during the day, nor in the sleep preparation. This week my sleep was : bad, good, medium, medium and bad. If it’s repeating then tonight is going to be luxurious with the added bonus of not having a set wake time. I had an exhausting day today and I’ll go for a…

Yesterday on the way home I stopped at a food warehouse and roamed there way longer than planned and messed my dinner time and all the after activities planned. On the plus side it was a cold and rainy day, so falling in bed felt really cozy. I had a mediocre sleep with interruptions and weird dreams, but it beats the…

3/8- yesterday at work I was in an excellent mood from the good sleep, mood continued through an afternoon nice but slow, walk in the park with a good friend, so I ditched the evening indoor bike in favor of the tv. I never had a time in my life when I consistently exercised, just had a busy life for many years and started…

Day 2: Monday evening I really prepared: cold and well aired bedroom, lavender in diffuser, which also makes a slight rain like noise, was hydrated but not excessively, blue light filter glasses last hour before bedtime, 10 minute stretches and lotion on hands and feet. It was a complete success of 6h cumulative sleep,…

This daily sign in sounds good and since I tried mostly everything except medication, I’m in. I always had a light sleep but at 50 “enjoying” the pre-meno, I’m having more bad than good nights. Last night was one of the top worse ones: went to bed at 10 and an hour later moved in the spare room because I was bothered by my…

Username: GabiV125 Check in day: Thursday PW: 134.5 CW: 134.5 It’s the 3rd of the month and I think I’m late for the introductions 😁. My name is Gabi, 50yo married with 2 kids, leaving in Northern VA and with a full time desk job. I’ve been here for over a year with success in the first 6mo, than I lost ground slowly and…

Username: GabiV125 Check in day: Thursday PW: 135.3 CW: 134.5 I’m continuing the Feb-Apr plan for 6 days/week activities and it works fine. My efforts are on the very easy side, with indoor biking at turtle speeds and walking my short legs dog. It is hard to not attach meaning to the number on the scale, but having my eyes…

Username: GabiV125 Check in day: Thursday PW: 136.0 CW: 135.3 Like many, I too dropped the ball at holidays, followed by my January pity-party for missing to improve in a year, and THEN I decided to act like an adult😁. So, from February 1st I’ve been doing something physical 6 days a week (easy stuff but anything beats the…

Username: GabiV125 Check in day: Thursday PW: 135.0 CW: 135.0 I just wrote a long intro and lost it😩. Nothing exciting about me, 50yo, married for half that, 2 grown-ish daughters and work a full time desk job. I like the vibe of this group, the support, advice and the non-judgement attitude and been here for over a year.…
