Seeing it as a lifestyle change is the totally right approach. In my experience fad diets don't work. A change if habits does. Progress will be slow, but it will be real and lasting progress. All the best to you and everyone here!

LNS 1 Me 0 Had dessert after coming home from going out to dinner. Used a nice dinner as a reason to say "what the hell, may as well have dessert". I need to work on changing that mindset.

Hi from Chicago. I'm Max. Good luck on your journey! There will be slips, but try to put them behind you and not let them be a reason to stray from your goals (I struggle with this).

Sounds like you're eating well. I wonder if it's how the brain works. I notice I eat a lot, especially in the evening, when my body couldn't possibly be hungry because I've just had a good size meal. Perhaps it takes a while for our brains to adjust to our new way of eating.
