Enjoy your pumpkin and maintain your deficit--it's as simple as that!! I love pumpkin too!

We haven't "met" but I feel your pain and am giving you my support and warmest wishes for internal peace. I'm very sorry for what you and your family are going through.

Well done!!

I love Amy's Three Cheese Kale Bake--but they are NOT low cal at 470 calories; so an overage could amount to a substantial amount of calories. Same with Marie Calendar's Creamy Parmesan Chicken Pot Pie; which I also love. That has 980 calories listed (if you eat the whole thing--one pie is two servings), if it was over…

I'm 7lbs down from May 1. Yay!!

My current obsessions are dates, beets, and almonds--not necessarily together or in that order.

I've lost 28lbs and don't notice any difference. My pants are a bit looser, but no real change. My starting weight was 225...

I weigh first thing every morning.

I did Medifast several years ago and I lost a bunch of weight. I kept it off for a number of years afterwards by replacing the shakes and bars with store bought versions of the same and eating the same type of dinners. Over the years, my weight crept up and then "life" happened in a big, ugly way and I abandoned the…

1. Forgive yourself 2. Log it 3. Buy another one for your sister--AND beg for leniency!! 4. Move on!!

My goal is aggressive, but I will change it after my vacation in August. I have an intermediate weight loss goal for August 1, which is to lose 30lbs from my start day of March 11. During vacation I will do a re-feed; and when I get back I'll set my weight loss to 1lb/week and add exercise. I'm not currently exercising…

I wanna fist of butter for dinner!

I have a Renpho and it seems to be doing what its designed to do. I'm happy with it.

Go you!!

For me, protein and fat fill me up. I eat two tiny meals per day and one huge one. If I have a lot of left over calories, I then add a snack. I'm on 1200/day so have a lot less wiggle room than most.

55 years old, female, lightly active. Currently 197lbs. My goal is set to lose 1.8lbs per week and my caloric allotment is 1200 per day. I recently went from 1270 to 1200 (one week ago) calories/day. My monthly loss for May thus far has been about 5lbs--so less than the 1.8lbs I set myself up for--but I seem to be on a…

I think its unfair. I live with a person (not my spouse/partner) who is not dieting. There is no way I would ever ask him to not buy his favorite foods and snacks because I'm on a diet. He has a stash of about 15 boxes of Girl Scout cookies in the freezer along with some mini chocolate candy bars and ice cream. In the…

1. MFP 2. Digital scales (body and food) 3. Fitbit 4. Protein drinks and bars 5. Coffee 6. KNOWING I CAN EAT WHATEVER I WANT AS LONG AS I MAINTAIN MY DAILY/WEEKLY DEFICIT!!!!

Prior to starting, I couldn't have sweets of any type in the house or I would binge the whole amount. If I didn't have anything sweet, I would make something--either butter cream frosting or eggless cookie dough. Since I started MFP, I haven't had any trouble (knock on wood!). In the salty snack category, I could easily…

Join the maintenance forum! You need to figure out how many calories you need daily to maintain a healthy weight and then log those calories everyday. Best of luck! On all my previous attempts at permanent weight loss, it was maintenance that derailed me. I'm hoping to get it right this time! I hope you do too!!

When I was doing Medifast, I was so hungry that I would lick the blade on my Ninja blender in order to get ALL of the shake. Yes, I risked severing my tongue to satisfy my hunger and I still didn't realize that it was a bad diet plan.....

Start logging today. Weigh everything solid, weight or measure all liquids and be honest! Then on June 1st you can look back at what you typically eat and figure out some changes that are going to be sustainable.

I have thoroughly enjoyed all of my cheats! 100%!

You'll get arguments for both ways but when I log I choose cooked weight because that's how I eat it.

I agreed 100% with Terytha! Take it one day and one meal at a time. Make small changes that are sustainable. You didn't become over-weight in one day, week, month, or year. Don't expect the weight to come off in one day, week, month or year. Take your time and do it in a way that you can continue for the rest of your life.…

I think my worst habit is wanting to eat most of my calories at dinner, so I'm relying on protein shakes/bars for lunch to save calories and breakfast has been limited to coffee with flavored cream. This gives me 800-1000 calories to spend at dinner. If I don't eat all of my calories at dinner, I wait an hour or two and…

I've lost about 28-30lbs and am still in the same pants size. I went down a shirt size though, XL to L. What this tells me is that I was pretty much stuffing myself into my size 16's because I started at 225lbs (estimated so-ish) and am now around 197 and still in a size 16. I need a belt now and they are loose all over,…

Another "new" diet I've never heard of. I do admit to throwing quite a few of my hard earned dollars chasing that magic bullet diet plan--my wallet always got skinny before my waist did. So glad I found MFP before I got sucked into another one.

I already have have Raynaud's and its cousin, Cold urticaria (hives from being cold--usually on my butt). The symptoms are getting more prevalent with a modest 25lb weight loss. Couple those two annoying conditions with menopausal hot flashes and I'm hot and sweaty one minute and have cold white fingers and hives the next.…
