Either make something for yourself and put it in the fridge for when you get home or talk to him and explain that if he wants o cook for you, it needs to fit in with your current eating plan. If it was me, I would be happy to help my partner .

Maybe you should up your calories a bit and eat regularly throughout the day and that way you won’t feel like binging on food when you get to dinner time . If I didn’t eat all day , my blood sugar would drop and by the time dinner came round, I would be eating ALL THE FOOD. Eat moderately throughout the day

Also trying to reduce sugar. I’m not a big snacker.... it’s mainly a wine thing lol

I’m so sorry. It’s understandable that you’re out of your routine right now, you’re grieving. And did you say it’s only been 2 months? That’s no time at all. Grieving is such a long and painful process, you need all the support you can get but don’t put too much pressure on yourself to be a certain way or eat the ‘right’…
