  • Awesome! I'm almost there too, I'll be joining you soon. =)
  • I took some pills before bed and my back is perfect today. Gonna make a mini goal of stretching more this week so I don't re-pull it. I just got added to a local group called the Wine Ninjas. It's all women who ding dong ditch care packages full of alcohol and treats on each other's doorsteps. So sweet how people pull…
  • The weather is unbelievably gorgeous today. We went for a walk then grabbed ice coffees as a treat. Husband is super motivated today. He's been cleaning the basement and bedroom. I'm trying to help but I'm woozy from the painkillers. :/ One day I dream of living in a house with a proper backyard where I can nap in a lawn…
  • Lookin' good! Sharp as a knife and smooth as butter. ;)
  • I eat fast food for dinner every Friday and chocolate for dessert every day. I'm almost never over 1500 calories. Calorie is king. Find a way to fit it in. There's no meaning in a diet where you feel fatigued after a few months because this is probably how you have to eat forever. Maintenance isn't a given. You have to…
  • Saturday weight: 180.8 Well on my way to that 179 goal for May. I feel like I lose weight faster when I don't go to the gym. But I do miss the muscle gains. Threw out my back really badly so today I'm spending quality time with my magic bag. Of all the things I "stole" when I left home at 17, this one has been most used…
  • CW: 180.8 My back hurts so bad. I guess I slept funny because I'm in agony. I didn't have this problem when I was going to the gym regularly. :( I guess today is a muscle relaxants and gentle stretching and Magic Bag kinda day.
  • Gosh, the weather is incredible today. No sweater needed for a change! I re-measured myself and I realized my back pain is likely because I've shrunk another bra size, so I went out and got a new one. But it wasn't fun. Sitting right on the cusp of plus size and not plus size really limits me to a small number of very…
  • Gosh, the weather is incredible today. No sweater needed for a change! I love spring. I realized something replacing some clothes. Sitting right on the cusp of plus size and not plus size really limits me to a small number of very expensive items. :/ I need to drop a couple more sizes, it's too expensive to stay here!…
  • Yeah, although personally alcohol causes me to retain water like crazy, so I see a stall on the scale when I drink. But I still drink because... I like it.

  • Every friday I for the last two months I've had takeout. It hasn't ruined a darn thing. Let's do some math. You have to eat 3500 calories above maintenance to gain 1 pound. The average maintenance is 2000. Let's assume that bowl put you at 3000 calories for the day. If you ate at maintenance all week, you'd gain under half…
  • You probably won't lose as much progress as you think. It seems to take about a month to even start losing muscle after pausing a lifting program, and then it's pretty slow after. Admittedly that one wrist will be weaker for a while due to the injury, but that's only one wrist. It'll catch up.
  • You can't confuse a metabolism. It isn't sentient. And if it was dead, you would be too. Dieting can inhibit it, but even in extreme cases that usually only means you burn 100-200 calories fewer than someone who hasn't dieted. Not enough to prevent weight loss. Weigh and log your food. Get some form of exercise. Do not do…
  • Unless those people are doctors and carefully watching your vitamin levels and vitals, ignore those people who are telling you 900 is OK. It isn't. Unless you're 4 feet tall maybe.
  • @micki48 I definitely need lots of stuff in my McDonald's coffee to make it drinkable even after all these years. I sometimes drink it black when my asthma acts up and it feels like torture. Can't handle bitterness at all. I have been playing this video game where one possible activity is making coffee, which it lovingly…
  • @eggfreak Bananas are a great source of potassium, and spinach has some iron. My cramps were more of the monthly, feminine kind, and have thankfully passed for another few weeks. I'm still overwhelmingly exhausted. Husband wants me to hit a testing center, since tiredness is a symptom of corona. I'm still feeling like I…
  • I honestly don't make cauliflower ever lol. My work day breakfast is just yogurt and coffee because I'm not much of an early morning breakfast person. On weekends when I sleep in, I like toast with two eggs, over easy. I also have a thingy that makes fluffy egg rounds for egg sandwiches so sometimes I have those.
  • I'm very tired today. When I'm very tired, I am similar to when I'm very drunk: everything is hilarious. Here's what I'm laughing at:
  • I have basically done this. Minus the days where I feel like something else like chocolate eggs or whatever. Dropped 90 lbs.
  • I'm the same height as you and I have been steadily losing at 1500 calories a day. I think you may be eating too much.
  • If you don't want to eat less or change how you work out then yes, this is the weight you'll be. Losing weight requires us to change something. Staying the same results in... well, staying the same.
  • A pound isn't a small loss at all! It's a great loss.
  • Can I just... vent about a weird thing? A couple months after I started using MFP, my coworker found me here. It was kinda nice, cuz she doesn't get upset when I say no to snacks and she gives me barcodes to scan when I accept. I'm not like, shy anymore about wanting to lose weight. And part of working on my self esteem…
  • I was able to hang off the pull up bar for a few seconds recently too and was extremely excited lol. It's fun! I want to someday be able to swing around like I see people do sometimes. Congrats on your successes!
  • Things that have variable weight in your body include: Fat Water Glycogen Undigested food Poop Muscle Lactic acid Things that your scale weighs: All of them Lose fat, but gain water and waste? Scale goes up. Gain fat, but lose extra water? Scale goes down. Or doesn't move. Your body is a mass of things which fluctuate…
  • Usually I wear this sweater that I bought a couple years ago, it is a men's 3XL and comfy, plus zipper pockets. I am here for pockets that stuff can't fall out of. But that's in the wash today so I'm not wearing it. Three people have commented today on how slim I look. Apparently people just haven't noticed because I am…
  • I did not get any exercise this weekend because whoah cramps and anemia. I was seeing stars and light shows every time I stood up, so I decided to take it easy. Plus it was too cold/rainy for walking. This aspect of my life seems worse since dropping some pounds. But well, it's not the worst trade off. It's only a week…
  • Wearing a super old hoodie today because my usual sweater is in the wash. Three people commented on how slim I look. Apparently the reason nobody said anything before really is due to how baggy the sweater I usually wear is. I am pretty lost in it these days, it's just so comfy and the pockets have zippers.
  • Dropped another bit on the scale today, which means I'm just about 13 lbs away from my lowest ever weight. When I was 16/17, mom and I went on Weight Watchers and I hit 169 lbs before stopping. I was so pleased, but I wish someone had told me that was still like 20 lbs overweight. :/
  • Onederland is any weight under 200. For many of us, getting that scale number into the 100's is a major goal/accomplishment. TOM is Time Of Month. For the women. Another common acronym you'll see is NSV, or Non Scale Victory. Which are all the little wins in weight loss not specifically related to weight, like fitness or…
