Tiny rant: I. Hate. This. Audit. I'm on section 9 of 13 and I'm just. Over it. Can't focus. I'm at home for confidentiality reasons since I'm auditing someone else's company so I have all their info. I like to have Let's Plays on TV while I work (today is Death Stranding) so I'm on the couch instead of in the office, and…

Be patient and diligent. Weight loss is a long, very slow process with ups and downs, even if you do everything right. So don't rush and slowly start building the habits you want to have the rest of your life.

OK, I really have to focus on my work today and maybe tomorrow. I have a huge project I've promised to get done by Monday. So I have to go quiet for a bit. Before I go, though. My Roses: - I don't have to stress eat. - I can look at chocolate now and say, "you have no power over me" and, much like the Goblin King, it…

There's only 625 calories in an entire tub of frozen cool whip. That's less than most tubs of ice cream...

They don't cause weight loss. Not only is there zero scientific evidence that those things help with weight loss, the only people who say otherwise are usually trying to sell you some overpriced garbage.

As a separate post, and dedicated to @Gidgitgoescrazy and everyone else struggling right now, I would like to post a slightly edited down quote from an author I like, as it sums things up pretty well. Here's the full post: http://jennytrout.com/?p=12902

Haha, you all flatter me too much. I'm gonna get a big head. I have worked hard, but I am able to work hard because all of you around me are working hard too. I see your successes and see you setting and reaching incredible goals and it makes me want to do more. Now go add like 50 calories to your log for all that cheese.…

I did it you guys. I DID IT. The woosh happened. My BMI is under 30. I'm not obese anymore!!! I had to lose 88 pounds of bad choices and worse habits, and drop from a BMI of 44 to get here, but there you have it. Just 40 lbs left to lose (ish). That's not nearly as intimidating as when I started with a goal of losing 120.…

Sorry, but that's not a plateau. Here's a hard truth for you: weight loss is so slow, and so variable and influenced by so many things, you can't even call it a plateau until you've stalled for 4 to 6 WEEKS. So what you do now is wait. Keep your food logging super tight, keep up what you're doing, and wait it out. My last…

Happy Friday team. I'm maybe at risk for the virus, and waiting at home for results. So there's my happy ending for the week. Don't worry about me though, I'm not sick and my actual odds of getting sick are very low. But I kinda wanted to be at work today. I miss the structure. Doing OK calorie wise still. Definitely…

I like wraps. My usual lunch is one wrap with a big handful of spinach, 4 or 5 slices of cucumber, 80-100 grams of chicken or turkey, and a swirl of mustard.

If I can just be sad for a second: Literally everything has been cancelled. This is good. It's good for safety and for health and it's good the pandemic is being treated seriously. But there's nothing left to look forward to. No goals. No events. No trips. No nothing. The only thing this year has left to offer is December…

We had a nice walk in the afternoon when it warmed up, down to the nearby dog run and back. Got some sunshine and fresh air for half an hour, it felt good. :)
-
Sunday update: 30 minutes of exercise. Hopefully a walk later today too but we'll see how the weather is.
-
Saturday end of day update: husband and I each received different devastating pieces of news, so I did not achieve my exercise goal because we were too busy hysterical laugh-crying it out. But I did drink water and stretch. So, something at least!

@micki48 The only winning is done when we help each other and the only losing is when we give up. As long as you're still trying you're a winner in my books. I have just one primary goal today: some exercise. Any amount. Although I've still been losing weight more or less, since losing the gym and working from home I have…

You can drink all the tea you can stomach, you won't lose weight from it. No food or drink or vitamin or supplement causes or helps weight loss. Anyone telling you otherwise is trying to sell you something.
-
What effect were you expecting? Unless you were already deficient in those vitamins, it's just a drink, it won't do much except hydrate you.

April week 3 weigh in: 186.6 I'm SO CLOSE. 185 is my boundary between obese and overweight and I'm almost there and waiting for it is just driving me nuts.

I couldn't donate blood. My veins are too small. It's stupid but I'm pretty upset.

@sqwoo Welcome! Behavioral addiction to sugar is absolutely a thing, and it can be just as miserable to deal with as any chemical addiction. I'm a pretty picky eater myself. I suggest not trying to make too many changes to what you eat for now and just try to limit how much of it you eat. It tends to be easier to manage.

I gathered all my courage and asked my boss not to order lunch for me today. I hate calling attention to myself and my diet, and I hate seeming ungrateful or high maintenance. But there's just no way I can eat 1500 calories worth of fast food for lunch. That's my entire DAY. Anyways I was being cowardly for no reason cuz…

I've lost 84 pounds over the last year. It works extremely well.

Macros are not super relevant to weight loss except for how satiating your food is. Play with your ratios to figure out what works best for you. Some people find they feel best with more fats, others with more carbs. 50/30/20 is just a rough starting point. I basically completely ignore mine tbh. Working out isn't required…

Hey everyone. I'm sunk deep in this depression which makes it hard to post here. I can't think of much to say. Right now I've come into possession of around 30 KN95 masks and I'm trying to donate them to the hospital. If I can't, my plan is to start mailing them to whoever wants. I'm sending out a couple to my uncle and my…

I got a bunch of KN95 masks from work. And by a bunch I mean like 40. I'm sending a few to family/friends and I'm gonna try send the rest to the hospital. If the hospital will take them, I'm gonna try to convince my boss to donate the rest because our China office actually sent us like 500 of them. If the hospitals won't…

My migraine seems to have finally let up. I got through a whole night without painkillers. Been a while since it was this bad, I blame the weather. On Wednesday afternoon a group of us are donating blood, so my plan for at least until then is to drink as much water as I can. After that maybe I'll switch to rye. Just…

Yep. 5 whole pounds of water retention, which is very common when you eat extra carbs since they hold water like whoah. Give it a few days, drink a little extra water, and it'll be gone nearly as fast as it showed up. Your weight is made up of all of you, not just your fat. Fluctuations up to 10 pounds due to water, poop,…

April week 2: still 189 Which is good honestly. I'm on day 5 of a terrible migraine and the painkillers plus lack of sleep caused like 5 lbs of weight gain over the last week. Its finally going down. Anyways. My game came in the mail and I'm stocked up on Advil so that's all of my plans this weekend.
