Girlfriend posted this picture online and I got multiple comments about how much weight I'd lost, how good I was looking. I'm just worried about "mr steal your girl" over there.

i love seeing your barefoot runs. I tried a barefoot beach run and absolutely ruined my feet.

I need to shift to maintenance mode soon (down from 220 to around 165 at the moment). July might be my first test and adjust month. I think protein powder might be a good thing to bring my calories up without going back to "triggering" food that's easy to runaway with.

I did a pull up, well 95% of a pull up. Close enough for me.

Those days without the tracking of calories, weight, etc should be good. I hope to hear about that moonshine when you return!

Congrats on joining the marathoner club. I've found putting something on the calendar keeps the motivation going for me. I've seen other runners take time off to prevent burnout. Ride a bike, swim, pick up a sport, and come back to it when it makes you happy.

I still think my scale is lying when I look in the mirror some days and I’m down to my lowest weight in at least 10 years. Trust the process. Also if others notice they may not be saying anything because then you’d know they’ve been looking 😉

Was doing sit ups and saw my thigh muscles flex for the first time. My mental body image is still much larger than I currently am, and breakthroughs like this are doing wonders for matching my image of myself with my current self.

May start wt: (April 30th) 179.6 May Goal wt: 170 May 1: 178.5 May 8: 178.5 (Switched shifts night to day for a bit, schedule wrecked havoc on my routine. Impressed I came about to the same.) May 15:171.7 Think I was really dehydrated after about 20 miles in two days, so this weight loss might be artificially high. (It was…

Been following this. Weighing mostly daily has been a huge breakthrough for me, I'm no longer avoiding the scale or the mirror. There's still apprehension but it gets easier. Great work!

Went to a water park and took my shirt off. That was a huge victory.

Thanks for this. I'm trying to make it through a whole fall/winter marathon training cycle without leaving what will be my maintenance range. I CAN do this.
