The fact that they say the 'taco bowl' is much higher than the double decker hamburger clearly shows that they're trying to throw people off. They must've added some really calorie dense sauces to that taco bowl to make it contain almost 1000 kcal.

What are 'active calories'? It's a measurement I haven't heard of before.

Let me preface this with: I might've misunderstood, but I interpretated this as that you're eating 1800kcal (sometimes less) and burning 700+ calories a day. Comment to follow thread, I've been wondering myself too! I read somewhere that protein should be 1x[bodyweight in pounds] grams per day, but MFP has (without me changing any settings) given me 75 grams... so someone is clearly wrong, lol. Want some macro tips too!

According to MFP database, 'walking at a brisk pace' is 300kcal for 43 minutes. Whereas 'Running (Jogging)' at the slowest pace available (and probably the speed I keep when actually running/jogging) is 632. That's more than double.
